Such a beautiful park with SO much to do! I have a 3 and 6 year old and they were able to play for…read moreHours here! We first started at the castle looking playground which is Huge with many climbing structures, swing, and a sand box area! Then there is another playground across the grass area along with several more climbers! There is a beautiful paved path around the park perfect for our kiddos to ride their bikes on! And lots of picnic tables around the area which was great for our picnic we packed! Highly recommend

The crab cakes were a 4/5 - my husband felt like there was a little too much filler. The remoulade was delicious - and it would have been good to have just a bit more. I had the lamb chops on top of chimichurri sauce, which was a great way to serve because you get to decide how much sauce. The lamb chops could have had the fat trimmed a bit pre and they were slightly overcooked but not enough to send back. Just a note to the kitchen. My 2 sides were loaded Brussels sprouts and they were cooked perfectly. I also had the cowboy corn sauce, which was delicious. My husband had a burger, which was a 5/5. Roll was great and completely prepared to his order. Drinks were delicious - I had the Coco Melon. Nick had beer. We definitely will be coming back.

One afternoon during Spring break, I took three of my grandchildren to Harvey. They immediately ran…read morefor the jungle gym. It's amazing how much fun they had sans their IPad and phones. Just like kids are supposed to be. After they tired of the assortment of knuckle busters, I lost sight of the skalawags. But soon, I found them on the other side of the park. They were engaged in a sword battle using fallen branches. I thought to myself, this ain't gonna end good. Sure enough, one got stabbed in the leg, and the fallen soldier had to beat a quick retreat to the infirmary. Oh, to be a kid again. Quick Tip: Bring along some salted beef, biscuits, or maybe a wheel of cheese matey. There arrrr plenty of picnic tables for ye to set the bones on.

There's also a cute local book box where you can leave a book or take one home to try! There are grills to use, plus a small creek and a walking trail that connects to the adjacent neighborhood. Surrounded by a paved walking trail (just shy of 1/3 mile long), the playground has plenty of equipment for little ones on up through elementary & middle school set on wood chips. There are several benches around the edges of the play area for parents to relax (unless you're on swing-pushing duty) while watching their kids run off some energy!

This is exactly what the area needed! A great, interactive, inclusive place for children! Went on a…read moreSunday morning and at first wasn't busy but definitely picked up about 35 mins into our experience. Lots of fun activities to choose from (rock wall, trampoline, swing options, zip line, etc). They have a Calming Room as well, which is such a great idea! They also have party space, which is fantastic. Place was clean and if something wasn't, just mention it to staff and they take care of it. Staff was nice. I will say the challenge is in how older kids use the equipment versus some of the younger kids. One older child was using the swing equipment more aggressively and going really high, which was hard for younger kids nearby to use some of the swinging equipment without getting hit. Overall it was a good experience and will be back.

3.5 stars for us! Have been taking my 3 kids ( 22m, 3, and…read more6) for several years and we always have a good time! However, the space is smaller and requires you to supervise kids at all times- so dont expect to come and sit and relax. With all the parents and kids in the space it can get crowded quickly and it often feels like you're constantly in someones way. Decent price for all day play, the staff is very friendly and understanding, and the facility is always clean. Do bring socks as they are required, if not they will have you buy some for $2. My 6yo is sadly growing out of some of the equipment, but there are still a few things for him to do and enjoy. Overall, this is a great playplace but would definitely reccomend arriving early before it gets too busy.

The park is connected to the Brentwood greenways, which can take you to nearby neighborhoods to the north and east, and as far north as the WSM Tower Park. When Smith Park first opened, I hiked several of the trails, which were a bit primitive and hard to locate at times. The trails now have blazes and signage, though several times blazes were confusing or signs missing at junctions. Have a map app ready if it's your first visit. Navigation issues aside, there are a lot of great improvements since the early days. There are picnic tables, shelters, benches, and even trash bins deep in the woods. The trails are well trodden and maintained now, so you won't find yourself wondering if you wandered off the trail. Most of the hiking trails have steep and rocky sections, though there are paved pathways in the lower portion near the entrance. The steep hikes reward you with great vistas of the surrounding hills and valleys, not to mention a good workout even if you are just walking. The majority of the trails are shaded by trees, though there are some shadeless stretches. This is one of the best hiking trail options in the Nashville area, so check it out when you need some serene outdoors time.
