We were visiting the main street in Wilcox and saw this old movie theatre so we had to stop and check it out. We saw that they are still playing movies and had the schedule outside on the marque. I went to this place recently to see a movie, and it was my first time being there since their…read morerenovations. Let me tell you, they did their big one with those updates. I almost didn't even recognize the place. It still has a very down-to-earth local eclectic feel, well also giving modern new and fun. This is the kind of place that makes you proud of Tucson and want to bring your out-of-town visitors! I was in love with the outdoor movie screen setting they now have as well. I can't wait to partake in that. I also enjoyed the snacks that are provided. They have some vegan treats as well which is nice to know for those with different food needs... and they also looks yummy too! This time around I just got a lemon cookie, which was everything I needed it to be. I also love that the theater houses local film festivals, and what not. I know that they also show films for the culture , yet somehow they're never playing when I look up Showtimes here. I really wish they would do this more often. The gentleman (could have been manager, I'm not sure) saw me coming out and asked if everything was ok (with genuine concern) I told him my movie was ending and I'm gonna wait for my showtime. He was getting ready to start the same movie with earlier start time and allowed me to just go into that theatre instead of waiting 30 min for my movie start time. I really appreciated how kind he was to me. The theater was comfortable and clean. The concession lady was also very kind and patient as I figured out what I wanted to get. I'd definitely return. I was looking for the gentleman when movie ended to get his name but I didn't see him. I would've definitely given him a shout out by name.

For a struggling cinema, not allowing backpacks (or at least asking for a search) doesn't make sense. Lots of high school students in the area too. My Apple Watch warned me of potential ear damage 5 times. This was a good film (Odyssey ) ruined by the venue. We deserve a refund or a class action suit.
