The husband and I love going to small town theaters. They are the heart of family life and culture in our communities. The Silco is beautifully restored with comfortable seats, good sounds and a nice sized screen. You will not find recliners, or food service, or adult beverages to "enhance" your experience. You will find reasonable prices, a good selection of snack food, popcorn and beverages, and one move at two shows a day. This is how we did back in the day. I am getting old. We watched Alita: Battle Angel because that is what was playing. I loved the experience, and will go to the movies again with the other oldsters enjoying a matinee before the early bird dinner specials. read more

How wonderful to have this theatre open. The giant team that restored the facility to its current incarnation has done a fantastic job. The colors, the decor, the return to the deco esqe look. I'm so happy to see the Silco up and running again. It brings back soo many memories. The theater is all done up nice. Popcorn and candy is great. Sodas are all great. Staff is personable. It's a great night out and I love the location in the downtown area. It's nice to park and walk around a bit either before or after to do a little window shopping. read more

This is a small movie theater, so for the best seat selection, get there early. They have the standard drinks, popcorn and pricey candy.

I rarely give a 5 star rating but the Silco is tops!! Cleanliness, friendly staff , tasteful esthetics, and an interesting and quirky selection of movies-new and vintage. The Silco is a labor of love come to fruition in the resurrection of a 1923 movie theatre and not a "for profit only" generic movie chain theatre. You would expect to pay more for the ambience but in fact admission is a bargain-$7 for senior and $8 regular. Manager, Zachary Aquino, has the youthful enthusiasm and vision to ensure the Silco's success. read more

The Silco theater is a great pace to go catch a movie. We drove from T or C to watch Despicable me 3 and we were not disappointed. The theater has been beautifully restored. The seats are very comfortable. The sound is not too loud, unlike the big chain theaters. The concession stand is reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly. The manager Chris is very accommodating and friendly, he will bend over backwards to make sure you have a great experience. You don't meet too many people like him in this world anymore.
