Thank you to Sapori di Mare! We have been in the area for three days, our first time. The first…read morenight out we went into Sorrento, and had enjoyable pizza by the meter but then a series of meals that were just embarrassments. The food on the coast can be terrible if you go into the wrong spot, expensive and done for looks rather that flavor. We found places that were unforgettably bad and had almost written off the quality of the food on the coast, as it seemed to cater to tourists who wanted to eat beautiful crap. Thankfully, on our last night we came to Sapori di Mare. First, they have a parking lot a short walk from the restaurant. The food was not designed to look like the instagram pics that attract American tourists, but WOW it was really good. We had three courses and the simplest spaghetti pomodoro was just fantastic. It was the best pasta I've had in Italy so far. The pizza was delicious, and the best limoncello we've had on the coast. Not to mention that you get the same breathtaking sunset view (if you get there by 7:45-8:00) that the "fine dining" restaurants offer. Three courses, dessert for $77 euro. We agreed if we had found this place on night one we would have come back. Fantastic!!! Oh, and Victorio is one hell of a waiter, managed the whole dining room practically by himself. Bravo!
