It was essentially an assortment of dried fish. Very interesting, and glad we tried it, but probably not something I'd order again! The spaghetti with anchovy sauce is an olive-oil based pasta which typically isn't my favorite. However, this is really an example of how the quality of olive oil makes a huge difference. I also don't tend to to gravitate towards anchovies, so this dish was a pretty big risk for me. It was a very simple dish, but the flavors were bold and complemented each other well. Pasta was cooked perfectly (of course). Our favorite dish was the seared amberjack! The fish wasn't too fatty, and I loved the pumpkin puree. There is nice, breezy outdoor seating but also a lovely dining area inside. Would definitely recommend stopping by when making your way through Cetara!

Reservations were made and outdoor seating tonight was perfect. We started with the grilled anchovies, roasted peppers and chargrilled seaweed. Cetara is known for their anchovies. The taste of this dish was different and not a real favorite. The risotto buono contained "good rice" risotta, cultured butter, oysters, and black lemon. The buttery risotta was good and the oysters were so fresh. Our final dish was the spaghetti with zucchini. This was a unique dish with a deep uncious taste and a creamy profile. The service here is over-the-top with a beautiful and quiet setting. If you are an adventurous eater, Al Convento is an upscale eatery that needs to be on your list. The quality of food, variety of selections and deep food profiles make Al Convento a standout in the sleepy fishing town of Cetara.

Ci siamo fermati qui appena scesi dal traghetto dopo una bellissima vacanza nella costiera Amalfitana. Purtroppo non avevamo tanto tempo per rimanere a Salerno un altro po ma un pezzettino di Salerno ce lo siamo goduti qui in questa pasticceria. Il bello é che eravamo vicinissimi alla stazione per dopo prendere il treno per il prossimo viaggio quindi è stata la pausa caffè perfetta prima di ripartire. Abbiamo preso due caffè e due cornetti alla nutella ma c'era tanto da scegliere che veramente meritava. Questa pasticceria e bar era molto posh e chic. Hanno servizio al banco ma anche sul tavolo.
