While I understood the line to order (it's popular and it was just after 1230), I didn't understand why numerous orders after mine, came out first. One woman checked on me and went to look for the cranberry chicken salad. I continued to wait. I asked a second time. Shortly after that, I got it. It was 1255, so I had to switch to takeaway re in house. To their credit, they gave me a free cookie (I won't eat it but maybe I can find someone else to give it to) and it doesn't seem like this is "normal". No one else waited as long as I did. Maybe I should have ordered a sandwich, but the salad was just average. Not bad. Not special, in any way. I would have liked a little more chicken. It was definitely okay. I like the vibe. Staff seem really friendly. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here though.

The service was absolutely top-notch--warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They've only been open for 9 months, and I'm honestly shocked we were the only ones there for a while. This place should have a line out the door. The food quality is phenomenal. I ordered the steak skillet and it was incredible--super flavorful, piping hot (like seriously hot), and perfectly executed. The pancakes were light, thin, and fluffy, topped with fresh, juicy blueberries. My mom got the Denver skillet and she's still raving about it while eating it. I also had a caramel cappuccino that came with the cutest little cookie on top--absolutely delicious. Overall experience: a solid 10/10. Food: easily 9.5/10. I never thought I'd be this excited about breakfast food, but here I am, still thinking about it. If you're in Chicago, do yourself a favor and seek this place out--you won't be disappointed. P.s. price is very reasonable. You get a lot for your money.

The inside is gorgeous, with full wall murals in vivid colors, artificial flowers, neon light statements, and artsy chairs and tables to match. The vibes could convince you your in a much fancier place. That said, I love that with all this effort it's still a chill cafe. Walk up, place your order, pay, and grab a seat. Friendly young staff at the counter and they do table service as well, so make sure to tip. I got a caramel macchiato and the banana strawberry crepe. The place was fairly full for a Thursday but my food came out pretty quickly. The drink came first and it was great! Not too sweet but no bitterness, nice and hot as well. The crepe was perfect. Most crepes I've had fall apart fast but this dough holds up to the toppings and fillings. It kept its shape throughout my meal and dragging the fruit through all the nutella was really enjoyable and tasty! There were a few groups of kids (teens) there before I got there and they were still there when I left. Just having some snacks, hanging out and laughing it up. It's nice to see. The kids around here could use more places to kill time and have fun, so I'm glad they've got this spot now. I'll definitely be back. I'm not a big breakfast guy but the coffee was on point and I'd like to try their savory options. All in all a great spot for a quick bite if your in the area or catching a train from Round Lake!
