This is not an in person experience, rather over the telephone/website. I work in the health field…read moreindustry and after finding out one of our past patients passed I ordered a plant online, in the morning, to be delivered to the funeral home. Services were private but after calling the funeral home to confirm services had not taken place yet I went ahead and got the plant delivered to the funeral home (McNutt's was the best priced, small business shop in the area). Easy. Except it wasn't. Later in the afternoon someone from the shop had called and said he checked the obituary so they didn't deliver the plant because details weren't listed in the obituary. WHAT?? I explained to him that I had already called and checked with the funeral home and said the funeral home would forward to the family anyways regardless if services had taken place or not. He yes that is correct but he could not deliver the plant for the day now because his driver left for the day. If services had been that day they wouldn't have had our plant there, he should not have assumed anything just because details were not in the obituary. He said they would deliver the next day. Not sure if that ever really happened. I figured they would call to confirm they delivered it since they dropped the ball the day before but they did not follow up. I've never really had a really good experience with any flower shop sadly and this experience did not help my opinion. QUICK UPDATE- I got an email asking me to review my experience on the website so I did, basically what I said here but shorter. My review was not posted on the website and whoever responded back to me was rude and did not apologize and said the flowers were delivered the day of ordering them, which is totally untrue beings they said their driver had gone home for the day.
