The Santuario is located on the Vidanta Resort and is described as "lavish entertainment where you can enjoy the best show, live music and entertainment while enjoying delicious cocktails, classic drinks and snacks". It is open from 3pm - 1am daily and the evening show starts around 8pm. The amphitheater has lots of comfortable seating. We only listened to the live music at the beginning of the show and then needed to go pack as it was our last night. The music was just ok and we were hoping the show would get better although we did not get the chance to find out. Our drinks were good and we ordered guacamole and chips which were delicious. The service was quick. I would have preferred a more extensive appetizer menu...not a lot of choices. In all, if is a fun family environment and the entertainment is free.

Terrible, from fighting the raccoons for your food to the crappy us service understaffed. Some of the worst lip-synching you can hear. And you have to stand around like a vulture to get a seat. And when you finally do get a drink it sucks. I believe it's all because this place is understaffed.

Great show. It changes every night!

A great night spot for the Grand Luxxe, Grand Bliss guests. Don't miss it. Great music, great advice and they have a Mixologist in house. Try the Jalisco Dreams cocktail.

You can't argue with free entertainment in this large centrally-located amphitheater. Just just be prepared to buy drinks if you sit at any of the comfortable tables - not an unreasonable expectation for a free show, in my opinion. The entertainment itself was not really for me (a telemundo-style production of various singing, dance, art acts), but I appreciate the effort that is put into the nightly 8pm-midnight(?) production. Even though it wasn't for me, the people attending appeared to enjoy it. Also, be aware that the various acts rotate among the "stages" and will wander the crowd as they perform, so when choosing your table, plan accordingly.

Stunning. The architecture of this place is absolutely gorgeous. They have drinks here, but they are rather pricey. They also have nightly shows, including acrobats, musicians, and (my personal favourite) a sand artist. It's is lit up by colourful lights that change colour. It is the place to be if you want to have some fun or light up your night.

We got here monday 7pm and the music was all JAZZ and old school songs singers was great. My in laws love the music and the ambiance is great. The food is not. We ordered smoothies taste like I just made it at home. The food is not that great either. Drinks is okay, staff is not accomodating and we felt we are begging for the menu just to order. Since we are big family of 9 people we try to get chairs by ourself and set it up together but one lady server said we can't do that but its funny when we saw one staff letting one big family arrange chairs how they want it and almost blocked that walk way and she didn't say anything VERY BAD!!! I almost want to argue with that lady server since I don't want to ruin our night we just moved to different area to sit. We keep hearing this place is good but after the very first time we tried and got dissappointed we ended up not coming back.

Great place to hang out with the kids or adults only. Plenty of entertainment for all. There were acrobats, musicians, sand artists, & traditional Mexican dancers. Cocktail waitress staff were exceptional, as are all the staff at Grand Mayan Resort. This was a kid-friendly show for the whole family.

Great place for drinks and nightly entertainment. Enough seating. Came for Jazz night which was on Monday and it was very entertaining.

They use tanqueray as their house gin which is unusual but a pleasant surprise as it actually happens to be my preferred brand. I didn't have high hopes for the martini - I find that outside of major U.S. cities places end up putting in way too much vermouth - and it actually ended up being fantastic. It didn't taste too different from what I would make at home which is probably the best thing I could say about a martini (for my own personal taste). I tried a fruitier one - the Gigi - as my second and final drink. It was good but I'm just not a fruity drink person. I just wasn't equipped to handle another standard martini lol. The ambiance is phenomenal - it was both casual and comfortable yet classy. The crowd was much older than I expected although not in a bad way at all. There were lots of expats in their 50s and 60s. I was worried it would be a rowdy rooftop and by contrast it was actually a very chill vibe. Only complaint is that the bathroom is outside of the venue down the stairs and you need a key to enter, which was a bit annoying bc I wanted to use the restroom before I left and I forgot to ask for the key on my way out. Small annoyance and certainly wouldn't prevent me from going back.

After looking up good places to go, Bar La Playa came up- and I'm sure glad it did! First, it's easy to get to if you're coming from North. Our Uber was easily able to drop us off without getting stuck in gridlock traffic that can affect certain roads of this area. Additionally, the location isn't a high-traffic area for tourists. That meant we were able to walk up and immediately find seats. Second, the service was top notch. I didn't get the bartenders name, but he was very welcoming, friendly, hospitable and spoke English. Just an overall cool dude and was glad to support his business. Third, the drinks were great. Finally, we were drinking 'real' drinks, not the watered down sugary stuff at the hotel. We were very satisfied with the taste of the drinks. Fourth, the prices are really good. Mexico has gotten expensive and this was a sigh of relief. You can have a great time here without feeling like you paid an arm and a leg. I highly-highly recommend making Bar La Playa your first stop when coming to this area. You're going to get great service, great drinks and all at a price that is reasonable and fair.
