Found a Groupon for 10 classes to try this place out and here's my review:…read morePRO: totally works, its fun, if you have tried kickboxing you will love this place. if you have tried bootcamp its pretty much like bootcamp with kickboxing. You will SWEAT. Pretty intense workout, it is hard at first but you will get used to it. Great friendly staff. They will assist you if you need help with combos etc. CON: Booking, booking, booking. I mean I understand that there are limited punching bags and they want to accommodate people but its not a come as you go place. You MUST book in advance however, you can only book 1 class at a time. You cannot book several classes in advance. You can only CALL them to book as for some reason they dont take bookings via email. So if you're the type that like to schedule and plan in advance this may not be the most flexible for you. Otherwise if you dont mind it then you should totally try this place. Membership is pretty pricey $100+ a month if your new, I dont know if it goes lower if you're a longer member.

I hate gyms. I can't stare off into space and mindlessly run on a treadmill. I need to be engaged,…read morephysically and mentally. Discovering kickboxing was a game changer for me. I loved it from my very first class - I was SO far out of my comfort zone and way beyond my fitness level, and every inch of my body hurt; but I loved it, and was so excited when ILKB opened in my neighborhood. The space is great, plenty of room to move around and really get into your groove. There are classes 7 days a week, and a membership means you can go to as many as you want, without having to pre-book. I never know when I will get out of the office, so really appreciate the flexibility and timing of the classes. While the classes are all structured the same, each one varies, so you don't get bored or stuck in the same old boring routine. You will SWEAT. You may wonder, mid-way through the warm up, if you will even make it to the bag rounds, but you WILL make it and that feeling of accomplishment will bring you back time and time again. The staff and members are motivating and encouraging and there is a sense of community, which is a nice touch. Oh, and once a month, there is a DJ night, I mean, come one, does your old gym have a DJ? No? Then you're at the wrong gym.

This is the saddest review I'll ever have to write…read more After a year and a half of membership at 30 minute hit I decided to move on after material change to my circumstance. September 10th I was told I was no longer a member at 30 minute hit by the general manager. October 1st I was still charged, when I reached out to them I was told that my request to cancel my membership did not apply. That's not how the situation was explained to me, nor was I given any notice that "my application to cancel was rejected" prior to being charged, disallowing financial planning on my end. The explanation given to me by the owners is insanely standoffish and just plain unprofessional. I shouldn't have to check in with ownership (whom I've met maybe twice, only once at the actual location), when the staff (specifically your manager) at the gym had told me I am no longer a member. I consider the staff friends who have brought me a long way in my fitness journey and wouldn't expect them to knowingly lead me astray. It's very clear that Stacy and Brett value being "right" over doing right by me and letting the membership go, Dealing with the miscommunication internally. Please don't do business with this gym, if you are looking to support kickboxing gyms that support cancer causes in October may I suggest I love kickboxing in coquitlam. They also appear to have a Groupon available as I write this.

It is a high intensity, 30 minute boxing/kickboxing training circuit that is geared towards woman. I have been going for just over 2 months now and absolutely love! All of the woman who are in the gym giving it their all are a total motivation and the trainers working the floor know how to push you and help you reach your goals as well as show you new moves to further your training and maximize your workout. I have found myself another great workout for which I love and am sure to stick with. So glad that I finally decided to give it a try this year. After every workout I leave totally exhausted yet such a happy camper. It really is fantastic!

There are some things that new parents and/or potential participants need to be aware of. We…read morereached out to see about the possibility of having our son join this program. We emailed and asked for some information on the pricing. I was sent an email regarding the pricing - in which the addition of the priced did not equal what the numbers actually indicated. In addition, when I asked about the price at no point in time was I told that after completing their "trial" class that we would only have 7 days to get the discounted rate (which was also not indicated on the first flyer that was sent to me. After I emailed them through their "contact us" button - I was spammed with emails and text messages stating that I have not yet booked our free "trial" class. I was getting multiple messages a day. Thinking that if i booked the free "trial" the messages (Emails and text messages) would stop - I went ahead and booked the class. The class consisted of us filling out a small booklet of paperwork. After which one of the instructors talked to my son and showed him a few moves. It was in no way a class - but more of a let's scrutinize whether or not you are worthy to be part of our private club. To me, a class would integrated with the other students. An opportunity to see how others like the program and to talk with them to see if it is worth it. After this "lesson" - I was provided a new booklet indicating that I only had 7 seven days to register at the discounted rate or it would spike up to almost $200 more - MONTHLY! When I read this - I was quite taken back and shocked. Had we known about this caveat we would have waited until we were closer to needing or wanting to be part of the program. When I emailed them about my dismay I was given no leeway I was giving no grace period. Instead I was told that maybe this was not the right fit for us and that we should look at Red Tiger or Tristar. MY CAUTION TO ANYONE LOOKING AT ENROLLING YOUR CHILD IN THIS PROGRAM IS TO WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE 7 DAYS AWAY FROM WANTING TO JOIN. This was extremely disappointing - especially as a past student of Tae Kwon Do from you younger years. They are obviously only in this business for the money and not the community.

This Taekwondo school changed my life. Not an exaggeration…read more I started going here in 2001. The instructors and fellow students were (and still are!) the nicest people and they helped me get fit, learn this martial art, and gain confidence in my everyday activities. Super supportive. Pushed me when I needed to be pushed. My physical health improved, but most importantly, so did my mental health. They taught me discipline and perseverance. I've had quite a few heath issues/injuries over the years, and so I had to stop for various periods of time. But I always come back - can't stay away for long! Life is better with OMAC in it. The people here are the best :)
