Man! coming in the door (that's if you can fit through the door). You a immediately bombarded with hanging liquor bottles. Hanging bottle EVERYWHERE. You only a extremely narrow pathway through the store. You have look hard for what you want. I so much in AWW! I forgot to ask the gentleman who work there his name. But he was the best. He came to cut down what hanging bottles you desired. Me not being a liquor connoisseur I don't how much liquor really cost. But! Listening to other customers, they say the prices here are a little high. Me I just didn't care, I was so amazed at what I was seeing. I mean everyone who was visiting the small town came in with there mouths open. We all were smashed in like sardines. If and when I visited South Carolina again you can bet your bottom dollar I will visit this store again.

I walked in literally at 6:59 one minute before they were supposed to close. I got an up beat person who pointed out every bottle I was looking for. Not sure if he was just a clerk or the owner, but he was awesome. They didn't know me from Adam and they bent over backwards to assure me that if what I was looking for was available they would get it for me. Their prices for the super rare stuff is through the roof HOWEVER, the entire secondary is like that. And the stuff they have is ultra rare. In taking to the owner and staff, they are very forth coming about why they price they way they do. Being in retail myself I completely agree with them. Why should someone else come in and buy something to flip it when Louies can make that money instead. If someone is willing to pay it, its worth it. They also are very frank in saying if you're a regular customer of theirs and spend money with them they're more apt to talk to you and make sure you're comfortable with the prices. So they have prices for flippers, sippers and regulars. All sounds fair to me when they tell you what's going on and let you decide what you want to do. There are very few places I'm comfortable shopping with and these folks instantly made me feel comfortable. Could I have found slightly better prices, maybe? Could I have found a friendlier and more honest staff, I don't think so. Though I don't live in the area I'm there a few times a year and they'll always be someone I'll visit and spend money with.

This was one of those occasions where I decided to pop into the beer and wine side. Upon entry, there was no attention to the customers, but I was like whatever good customer service isn't always the standard anymore especially when the employees are on their cellphones. Again, no big deal. I figured hey someone one I got in would speak and offer assistance. Instead, the employees looked at me as if I had on an orange jumpsuit in shackles. It was really weird and uncomfortable. I tried to power through it just to get what I needed but then with not being offered help and being uncomfortable with people looking at me like I was on the most recent episode of America's Most Wanted, I just left to go get what I needed elsewhere. Totally unfortunate because once upon a time I really favored Bottles, and it had been a while since my last visit, but never did it feel like this one. I didn't go to the alcohol side so I'm not sure if it would have been the same over there or not.
