It's been 12 yrs ago when I started banking in this branch. The customer service back then was…read moregreat until today 8/5/24. I went to have a letter notarized which I do every now and then. Today I was told by a young woman that I need to check in at their digital log in book and state my business which I did as NOTARY. I was the first in line and then two more customers came after me. After waiting for 20 minutes when the person being attended by this young woman left she called the guy who came in after me. I stood up and walk with the guy she just called and I said I was first in line. She responded "This is not a notary place". If you want you can wait for one of the tellers at the counter. They can help you." I saw the line of about 8 people. I said " If that is the case why didn't you tell me sooner so I don't have to waste my time". She was about to say some more but I walked out fuming. In the menu when I signed in I picked the subject NOTARY. If they will not honor that they should have just erased it from the menu. I am thinking of cancelling my account with them. If they cannot help me over a simple thing, I don't want to know how they will handle a big issue.

Today I walk in as I usually do and the people at the counter refused to provide me with this service. "You have to be a customer with an account," they kept saying. The second girl I spoke to, clearly bored out of her mind, said you want to speak to a manager? I said, "yes, please." I also provided her what it said online. So the first girl I spoke to decided she'd intervene- even though she was in the middle of helping someone else, yelling to the manager, "she said she doesn't have to be customer to receive notary services!" The guy with balding red hair (the manager) responds without even making eye contact, "you need to have an account." Ok never mind what the corporate website says. Ironically the Forest Avenue location told me that the services are offered to "everyone," and apologized for them doing that. I guess the TD Bank on hylan doesn't care. They have zero professionalism. I see why the reps acted like that. They reflect their leadership.

Since the check was uncashed it was to be transferred to the State of New York. The branch manager was extremely helpful and she contacted various department via emails . The branch took my cell phone and promised to call me as soon as she had an answer. A few hours later she call me that the check was currently in The custody of citibank and i was welcome to stop by next day to sign for my check responsible for issuing checks. I appreciate Shaquana and Bernadette always being so nice to me, even when I don't deserve it. My apologies to the teller today. I came in having a full blown anxiety attack. I was already late and had 30 seconds to deposit several checks and hop back into my double parked cab. Shaquana interrupted her lunch break and came and gave me the cash I needed. I didn't even wait for a deposit receipt, but when I checked online it was all taken care of. As a real estate agent who knows this neighborhood very well, I cannot recommend this bank highly enough to all of my clients. While the ATM inside the bank can be an inconvenience, their personal service is truly outstanding! Special thanks to Margaret Elia, who always had time to say hello to my Chihuahua!
