Walked out at 12:15 without a haircut. I understand running behind a little bit. But I sat there for 20 minutes and watched the barber I had booked with "cut" this another customers hair. First 10 was actually doing a fade. The rest, barely cutting any hair. My fiance was with me and said she saw him literally take scissors and cut the air above the guys head, no hair.

Took his time asking me what kind of cut I wanted and made some suggestions based on what I said. He took his time, and we had a nice chat while he cut. I also appreciate a barber who can talk and cut at the same time. The only thing that would have made the experience better would have been a hot lather straight razor shave on the neck. Can't have everything, I suppose. The hot towel and scalp massage at the end were worthy substitutes. While he's not open on Saturday, he caters to commuter traffic by being on Mondays and later than most barber shops (7:00p, I think). Will definitely be back.

I started going to Kim in High School, you know that time when you grow out of your mom cutting your hair, and stayed through most of college After I graduated I moved to the South Shore, and have been looking for a good barber in this area. Here are the cliff notes: Shop in Quincy: Requested zero to the whole head, doesn't do a second pass and leaves lots of little hairs that drove me berzerk until it grew in. Shop in Weymouth: I spent 30 minutes extra in the chair because apparently "two one top, one on the sides" is open to a lot of interpretation. I know what I want, thank you very much. That's it, no more searching and getting terrible overpriced haircuts. Here's what I love about Kim: + She's no frills. If you ask for a "two one top, one on the sides" that's what you get. If you are looking for styling/guidance you can get that too, certainly. + She takes pride in her work. No stray hairs left behind like that Quincy shop. You get 100% what you ask for, not 95%. + She's fast (and still accurate). You won't be sitting in that chair longer than you have to, and likewise lines move fast. + Her rates are extremely reasonable. + She's wicked nice! Need I say more? All the barbers were working away on their clients and ALL of them were doing top notch work. The last time I went to a barber I was in the chair for half the time and charged more money.
