Great location and at the center of everything. We got a nice window seat and were seated right away. I love the cloth table cloths and napkins. The service staff was great too. We ordered our drinks and our meal. We did get bread with olive oil and vinegar. The flavors were so bold. The pizza was a good portion. Enough for two people. I ordered the fruti de mare. The pasta was homemade and so delicious. There were big bites of shrimp, mussels and clams. I loved how they gave us a red chili sauce to spice up our dish. After a long days travel settled down in this lovely Italian restaurant in a quaint part of the city. Enjoyed delicious lasagne, pesto pasta and gnocchi. Stunningly great Italian food at a very reasonable price. We were here with Swiss friends who'd been there before and suggested it for lunch. We started out with the prosciutto appetizer; a very generous portion of freshly sliced sixteen-month aged Prosciutto de Parma; easily enough for four--pure heaven for the palate. I ordered Gnocci with pesto Genovese and it was absolutely delicious, both in terms of flavor and texture. The three others in our group were equally enthralled with their choices; for example my wife can't stop spouting superlatives about how superb her rigatoni with pesto Genovese was. Very nice atmosphere, lovely decor and a pizza oven on display. Friendly service although, not being a regular, it seemed we did not get the treatment we expected. Tables to each side of us were well taken care of, we were secondary. As far as the food... Asparagus soup was good Pasta Carbonara was excellent Pizza was primo Veal Saltimbocca was not pounded thin and not cooked fully, which made it very chewy. A leaf of sage on each piece proved to be overpowering and added to my dislike of the dish. The risotto that came with the veal was tasty eaten in the sauce that the veal was in made it more palatable. In short, you're not missing anything if you pass this establishment by. read more

We ordered a simple pizza and the spaghetti bolognese. The pizza was freshly made in a stone pizza oven and the spaghetti bolognese was outstanding. Pleasant outside seating in a very casual atmosphere. Service was perhaps a little slow, but that is not a complaint. We picked this place to enjoy the ambiance and it was most pleasant. read more
