I would not wish for anyone's loved one to end up in this facility. My father is here only because…read morehe currently has no other options, and I am doing everything I can to move him to a safer, more compassionate environment. When I visit, the conditions are heartbreaking. The building has an ongoing odor, and yesterday during my visit a woman across the hall cried out for help for nearly an hour without anyone responding. It was painful to witness, and even more painful to think of the patients who have no family there to advocate for them. The food served is unappetizing, so our family tries to bring in outside meals to make sure my dad has something nourishing. I also worry about the quality of care: the staff often seem disengaged, more like people passing time at a job than trained caregivers. My father has begun developing bedsores, and their "solution" was simply to add an extra pillow, with no proper wound care or preventative measures. What is most upsetting is that immediately after his leg amputation -- a major surgery -- his long-term pain medication was cut in half, despite his history of being on it for over a decade. I have learned that some families have been able to advocate for their loved ones' medications to be adjusted, but that has not been my experience. From what I can tell, there may only be one RN on staff, with the rest of the team focused on sticking to a schedule rather than truly caring for the residents. I rarely see staff respond promptly to patients' needs, and they spend much of their time at the desks. This is not quality long-term or palliative care. It feels more like a place where people are left to decline rather than be supported with dignity. Please, if you have a choice, do not place your loved one here.

I was there for after care following a abdominal surgery and after the 3rd week we put in a request…read morefor a overnight visit for Christmas and then the day that he came to get me he is told that it is only 4 hours. I am finding out today that they neither gave me ANY of my relevant information like "home care" and with me being terminally ill that is a big one and MY insurance paid for the medicine I came in with but they flat out refused to give it to me due to leaving AMA. Now here's the kicker. We had JUST put in the request for extended stay after the 30 days covered by my insurance. The facility was going to make me leave on the 29th anyway. I left on the 23rd and then they are acting like my health is detrimental but they were going to boot me in a matter of days
