I visited the St Albans branch on the 6th of September and had a hair cut and style with Sarah. She is a lovely lady and I feel bad writing this but she butchered my hair. I went in with super long hair and showed her exactly how much to take off (approx. 6 cm), however she took off double that. My hair was all one length so I asked her to give me some long layers and she just gave me an terribly uneven layering in the front and a crooked straight cut at the back. She then proceeded to curl my hair, even though I had asked for it straight, and this managed to disguise the terrible haircut. I know it's only hair but it took me a long time to get my hair to the length it was and now I'm out of pocket having to go elsewhere and get it cut even shorter to fix it. read more

Very disappointed - beware. This is the first negative review I have ever written which is testament to how bad my experience was. The hairdresser dyed my hair blond when I asked for subtle highlights then tried to rectify it with toner but the toner has come out and I'm left with horrible orange hair. I called up to see if they could offer some kind of fix and no offer or apology was made and instead I felt as though they blamed me for what had happened. Appalling customer service. Excellent, lovely experience. I won a makeover worth 250 Pounds by sending a text to The Herts Advertiser for this store. On returning from holiday in Switzerland, I had a message informing me of my prize and visited the store to have my picture taken. It was published on The Maltings website and so I have now hit the D List! I made an appointment to return on a Saturday after holidays to the Algarve and Majorca. I decided against highlights as my hair was quite sunkissed already and I would be a bit wary about dying my hair. The stylist cheered me up when I told her I was going a bit grey and she replied that men's hair looks better that way! Over for a wash and a bit of relaxing head massage. I got two cups of tea and am very happy with the result. A woman would have got better use of the prize because it costs them more. Very chatty stylist in salubrious surroundings. Shops are being so nice to me at the moment. The voucher had expired when I took it in but SANRIZZ happily accepted it anyway as they knew I'd been away. read more

I had heard good things about this place but was put off going by the high prices, compared to other hairdressers in the area. When a Groupon voucher came up for the salon, I thought I would check Sanrizz out. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the service and haircut. I arrived on time and was told to take a seat. Nobody dealt with me for 15 minutes, and several people walked past and said nothing. I was then asked if I wanted a drink and asked for a glass of water. After another 5 minutes someone took me to have my hair washed. I was then taken back to my seat and waited another 5 minutes, still no drink of water. Finally, my haircut began- the hairdresser did not give any advice on how to cut my hair and I ended up suggesting everything. She proceeded to give me what I would call a generic cut that she uses on most clients, however as I have naturally curly hair this did not work for my hair type (as I explained to her several times). On the 4th ask for a drink of water I finally got it. She then styled my hair with several hair products which left it feeling horribly matted. When asked what I thought I told her it looked a mess and she then criticised me for touching it! Interesting customer service. I will not be returning, especially at the normal rate of £54 for a cut and finish! read more

Sanrizz!! After being a customer since it opened I loved the place! Got to know some of the staff and had my favourite hairdresser. She left and I feel the place has not got a high reputation no more, tried it out three times..a Junior dyed my hair slightly ginger..2nd time the hairdresser was good so I returned for a 3rd time and a different hairdresser cut my hair totally wrong!!! Given me short layers on a curly think head! Wasn't happy!!! It looks nice inside and the staff is nice but wont return. read more

The staff are the nice and so is the store but the haircut was terrible. Did the opposite of what i asked for and totally didn't understand my hair type. I now have a straight bob (i asked for shoulder length and shaping around the face). My hair is so thick it is already a disaster. So disappointed and upset. Will never return. read more
