We went to this club in Ibiza, wanting a quieter (and cheaper!) night in the middle of a crazy week. This is another club by the same Sankeys in Manchester. We'd met a couple of Mancunians in the hotel earlier who had been the night before and had loved it. We got free entry as it wasn't a big night.
To be fair to the club we were pretty tired and not really in the mood. The club reminded me of basement clubs anywhere, particularly up North, friendly and dark. It was fairly empty but the people who were there were having a good time. It seemed a fairly young clientele (I'm 32 so clocking on ha!) but we got talking to a few and a coachload had come over from San Antonio so that was probably why. This isn't an 'Ibiza extravaganza' club of the likes of Amnesia and Pacha no dancers or showy stuff, just head down proper dancing. It is quite small but is over two floors with an outside terrace.
The main attraction is a polyphonic floor (is that what they call them?) A spongy floor that vibrated with the music which was cool.
This will be a club for all Sankey's fans and 'proper dance music' fans, but isn't a place to go if you are looking for the big ibiza superclub thing. Still, the entry is either cheap or free, and the drinks are cheap compared to most places in Ibiza! read more
