Upon advice of my pulmonologist I underwent an overnight sleep study here. I have to admit that I…read moredon't snore, but I am tired during the day, so I wanted to rule out that I have sleep apnea. My first cause for alarm was how many times they left a voicemail trying to get me to make an appointment. They left 5 messages. I finally called them back. Maybe I shouldn't have. The technician was very attentive. I was impressed that I got my own, watching me all night. But I found it hard to sleep there. The CPAP machine made me feel claustrophobic. I was tempted to walk out. I also didn't appreciate how they employed scare tactics, telling me that I was going to experience severe health problems, such as stroke and heart disease unless I buy their product. Turns out I have a mild case of it. No cause for alarm. It is my impression that they pushed this sleep study on me simply to make money. Once they found out that I have great insurance, they saw green. It cost my insurance $5811. The CPAP was another $650. That's a lot for a minor case of it. Although I didn't have to pay out of pocket, I feel used. I would never do it again.
