I've had a few annual visits and was never there more than an hour for the entire process (I spent 2 1/2 hours at Carolina Eye Assoc). This office was a 45 min ONE way drive for me, but after hearing great things I figured it would be…read moreworth the 1.5 hr commute- I was wrong. Upon making the appointment over the phone I was quoted $180 and told if I paid in cash/check I would receive a discount. Once I got to the office, the "discounted" price was still $180. That wasn't a big deal at the time, but I don't understand why a discount was offered if not going to be honored. The $180 quote was to include a consultation, adjustment, and xrays. 15 mins after my appointment time the first receptionist stated it would be a few more minutes until I received xrays- no big deal. Finally 25 mins later I was taken into a room only to be told by the other receptionist that the chiropractor would determine if I needed an X-ray... this made me not only very uncomfortable to possibly be adjusted without an X-ray, but it is extremely unethical to bill someone for a service that may not possibly be provided. Once the receptionist left, I remained waiting for yet another 20 mins and no signs of the chiropractor. It was at that time I decided to walk out and drive another 45 mins home. I had high expectations for this office, but the lack of time management and unethical billing for unprovided service is absolutely unacceptable.

She says they call my insurance and my insurance says that they are not a provider so they can't bill it to them. They tell me this and say that it looks like insurance fraud. The exact words, insurance fraud, I tell them I bill it. They then tell me it would be $304.00, just to be seen. I tell them forget it. Who is trying to fraud who now? I went 1 mile down the road to another place and was seen for $145.00, they gave me my diagnosis and bill. I paid them myself and was treated well. I would never go back to PineRidge Urgent Care. Just to be treated that way was high way robbery. I paid less than half of what they wanted. Poor management. When I am pulling into the other urgent care that day, Pine Ridge calls me and says so "what is going on?", I told her I left because of what I was told, did the front desk not tell you?
