First things first. This is a dive bar. If you like that sort of thing, this may be your jam…read more However, it isn't really even a bar, as their liquor license is revoked. So it's currently a dive diner. The food was average at best. One thing they do have is a salad bar. It was sort of fresh, but the items on the salad bar were limited. If you like creating your own salad with your meal and don't mind a non-alcoholic beverage to drink, this place isn't terrible. The service was just so-so. Doesn't anyone clear plates from the table anymore? The inside is worn and outdated. At first, google reviews had me interested, but I wouldn't go there again. Not just because the liquor license is revoked, but that the place was average at best.

Our order was brought to the table without silverware: after a five minute wait I went to the kitchen doorway and requested silverware. After she finished her phone call she returned and slid four unwrapped plastic forks across the table, which seemed as unclean as the floor. My grilled chicken sandwich was a dry open faced hoagie with a tiny portion of overcooked chicken about the size of a monarch butterfly. When she retreated with the forks, I asked if I could have tomatoes and lettuce. Without apology she returned with a single thinly sliced greenish tomato and leaf of dry lettuce on a plate. I do not leave bad reviews unless there's something horribly wrong. Food, service and ambiance all a failure. I won't be back.

Once the appetizers arrived, they were all very good. We had a variety. Food also took a long time, but I will say they were very busy. Once the food came out, everything was good. I had a filet, medium, with asparagus and a house salad. The house dressing had great flavor. The steak was overcooked, but had a nice flavor to it, just a little dry. For dessert I had a slice of peanut butter pie to go, and it was delicious.

We waited for 15 minutes for her to come greet us and get drink orders. We ordered an appetizer, and never received it. She blamed the kitchen, as someone who has worked in the restaurant industry I know she forgot about putting it in. When we finally received our entree's, she didn't bring us our sides. How does one forget about a salad and house chips? I had to ask for a refill for my husband, and she brought him the wrong drink. It felt like we didn't belong. I guess if you're not a regular customer or from the area you shouldn't dine here. I have never felt so unwelcomed at any establishment in my life. We have never given a $0 tip until this evening. Mia got nothing for doing absolutely nothing and forgetting about us. I suggest that she gets retrained, and maybe taught to not lie to her customers. We really wanted to like this restaurant, but she ruined it for us. Also, this was our first date night in 6 months and our experience really put a damper on the night. Thanks for the horrible experience Mia.
