For the most part, it is full of young students who are worried about STI's. Appointments need to made well in advance or else there is a drop in from 8.30am. The wait can be unbearable, but once you get taken the staff are respectful and understanding and everything is confidential. A great service. Totally free as well.

Appointments can be made to allow you to go out with office hours which is useful for those nine-to-fivers. However, this is a popular option and may well mean waiting for up to an hour and a half after your allotted time. Thus, the other option of attending the drop-in clinic hours is possibly preferable for those of us who can get up at early bells and not need to be anywhere until lunchtime that day. While the drop-in times run from 8.30am-3pm (most days anyway). It is advisable to turn up as close to the 8.30am end as possible. It's also worth noting that a lot of the time you can also get away with turning up earlier than the above stated time. The service and advice offered is first rate. As well as getting a free sexual health check up, the clinic offers free treatment, counselling and a anonymously-notify-ex-partners service too. Meanwhile, you can also receive free methods of contraception (including the pill) as well as family planning information and treatments. It's also worth noting that you can decide whether or not they can share your test results with your doctor as well as where (and how) it is appropriate for them to contact you.

With a clean and nicely decorated reception ( as far as reception areas go!), friendly and helpful staff and a great bunch of family doctors, i cant really say much more to be honest. Having had a few dodgy and pretty grumpy doctors in my time i find it refreshing to finally find somewhere that you don't actually mind going to. Oh, wait a minute, one complaint form me. Yelpers of the male variety all over the world will confirm this one complaint that i'm about to make. Why oh why is there never any bloody male orientated magazines in these waiting rooms. just a little something with cars or football or, i don't know shelves, hammers.....just something that's not about celebrity gossip, 101 make over treats and 10 things you didn't know about goats milk...... OK, rant over. Good medical practice, friendly staff, clean reception.....crap reading material!!!

They are confrontational to the extent they are aggressive, especially when patients know and quote their rights. Patients do have to quote their rights because the procedures the admin., staff quote do not complement our N.H.S., rights and surgeries responsibilities to the N.H.S., and indeed patients. There is no point complaining to the practice. The practice manager ignores telephone messages and visits. When you prompt her reply via correspondence to the partner G.P., she will simply tell you to go elsewhere. There is not much in the way of confidentiality at the front desk. The receptionists discuss triage with each other at the front desk for all to hear. I can tell you several patients names and health problems they have because I have heard such discussions. Of course you must select a G.P., based on their clinical ability and not their admin., staff's ability. However, before signing up be aware it is likely you will have to complain about the support staff. I doubt you will ever have to complain about the G.P.s; I have consulted every one and they are all been attentive, deliberate and correct. One other thing. The prescription service is awful and will be an issue. Kelvin Medical Centre are very selective about the N.H.S., prescription services they provide. P.s., had one experience with the nurse that was deeply unfavourable. In the end I had to insist she was supervised by a G.P., in carrying out the most basic of procedures, a procedure that auxiliaries carryout in hospital. A.

This review is based on the healing magical massage powers of a lady named Christine who works…read morewithin the Harvest Clinic, she saved me when I was in quite a lot of pain one day... Being the adventurous/curious creature I am I decided to try pastures (or massage tables) new when I was in need of something the doctor doesn't (sadly) prescribe ~ a really good massage. I totally believe in the power of massage as I spoke about in past reviews. I have the odd niggling aches & pains that occasionally blight my life and I know from past experience that no GP can help me in a way that doesn't involve being heavily drugged up (some may argue 'Nowt wrong with that!' but I refuse to be a daily {ab}user of painkillers unless totally necessary) or waiting on a list to see someone who will get me to perform exercises like some sad circus sealion with a dodgy neck. Nah. You're alright. So I seek out a massage therapist like some mad junkie seeking out a drug dealer 'I NEED ma massage fix, man!' Heard some good things about not only THC but also Christine herself; checked oot the website & saw she does some rather splendid deals, in fact cheaper than places I have frequented previously. BONUS. I usually go to the lovely Christine for an hour full body aromatherapy/therapeutic/hot stone massage and it only costs me £30 which I think is brilliant. Especially as some places tend to charge more for the use of the hot stones (something which Christine herself doesn't quite understand why). I had never had a hot stone massage & now I have oooh...there's nowt quite like it, I tell thee. The other thing that I liked about THC & Christine is that they/she does a late clinic most days until 9pm. I usually go post-work so for me this is great. She also does occasional deals (which she will text you) with such things as £25 for a 1 hour massage or £45 for a 2 hour session which I am yet to try but sounds amazing! THC is very handy by public transport; only a 5 min walk from St.Georges Cross subway or a 10 min walk from Sauchiehall Street/Charing Cross. It's a buzzer entry & sometimes they may not answer straight away so don't panic. The entrance hall is really peaceful & serene with a big comfy sofa & also many leaflets available for your perusal. The massage rooms themselves vary - one is quite 'traditional' and small, dark whereas the other is much bigger & feels as though you're walking into someones posh living room! I prefer the wee room as it's darker & quieter but once Christine works her magic you forget you're even in the centre of a busy city. I couldn't recommend Christine/THC highly enough ~ they have always been brilliant about swapping/changing appointments and the standard of service is always top class. Even if I didn't suffer from the old ache & pain I would still come here for a quality relaxing massage treat. I believe that massage is not only good for the body but for the mind & soul too. Big thanks to THC & Christine for saving & repairing my body, mind & soul every month!

Right, now that we have that out of the way. When I walk into this place, I find a sense of calm descend upon me. I find it quite a pleasant experience. It feels like a place of healing. They have a number of therapists across disciplines. Acupuncture, massage therapy and clinical hypnotherapy all are practised within this place. The therapy rooms are well appointed and they do not resemble the cupboards that are common for massage therapy or acupuncture in Glasgow. Book yourself a single session. I have always found it money well spent.

I'm sorta doing this review on behalf of my boyfriend and fellow Yelp partner in crime. Yeah,…read morethat's right, Mr B - I'm stealing the first review, bitch! The Berkeley Clinic specialises in cosmetic dentistry and cosmetic treatments such as Botox. For teeth, they seem very clued up and professional. Their dentists are very prestigious and have won awards, including Young Dentist of the Year. The Clinic couldn't really be described as a surgery - it's clean, more like a salon. It's very progressive, and the Clinic has brought new teeth repairing techniques to Glasgow, such as 6 week orthodontics and safe ways of removing mercury amalgam fillings. They do this in a very secure setting, and make sure that the patient doesn't inadvertantly breathe in the fumes of their old mercuy filling. In the long term, it keeps your mouth clean and safe. They seem very quick and apt at getting to the source of your oral problems, seeing that the patient is kept in the know at all times on what treatment is best for them. It's very personal, and their non evasive way of scanning teeth and projecting the results to the patient quickens lengthy, archaic procedures of taking moulds. They also have panic buttons on the side of their chairs so if you are geting a filling or feel uncomfortable in any way, you can stop treatment immediately by turning off the equipment. This gives the patient a feeling of control, which is the idea behind why they put such techniques in place. They run an anxiety workshop to help alleviate your fears even further. Crowns, veneers and bridges are costly, but the lasting effects seem aboslutely excellent. The dentists work alongside the guys who do shows such as Extreme Makeover, so as far as cosmetic dentistry goes they are great at bringing the magic. Overall, the Berkeley Clinic's consultations and procedures take you out of the chair and into modern dentistry. My boyfriend received a goodie bag that looked like he'd been away a spa weekend, and his dentist is giving him a diet program to help keep future tooth decay at bay. They are equally as good at helping the patient realise why their teeth are a certain way, and giving them control over fixing the problem. I have a really bad snaggle tooth and know what it's like to have a smile that I'm a wee bit embarrassed of. I would give an arm and aleg to get my teeth fixed in here, because as the Clinic outline they know that adults can feel socially insecure if they aren't proud of their teeth. The professionals here encourage good habits and offer great techniques which can give you a Hollywood smile years before braces can. When I have more money, I'll stop by the Clinic and swap my fang for some sparkly gnashers, and it'll be a good day!

I have to say that after the experiences I've had at other dentists, THIS was incredible. If you…read morehave any dental work needing done you would be an idiot not to go here. Can't thank them enough for what they have done.
