"Quirky" is probably the best word to describe this mini golf course. First, a few important notes: 1. They are cash / check only - come prepared! 2. If you are offended by an abundance of Bible quotes and references, this probably isn't the place for you. Having said that, regardless of your religious inclinations, the random Bible themes do play into the aforementioned quirkiness factor, so if that's your thing, you've found the right spot. The course was moderately well-maintained - not in tip-top shape, but for a casual game of mini golf among friends, it serves its purpose. Some of the holes had creative twists - a favorite was the one where you are basically chipping the ball over a stream (which created quite a few fun photo / video ops among our group). They have 36 holes here (we only played 18) - the ordering gets a little confusing towards the end of the course, but we figured it out. Oh, and be warned - this place definitely gets busy in the summer! We showed up ten minutes before they opened (noon on Sundays), and there was already a line of about 4-5 other groups at that point. Thankfully, the fact that they essentially have two 18 hole courses allow them to space folks out a bit, so the wait between holes wasn't too bad. The staff was very sweet and friendly, asking us about our group and where we were from. This place definitely fits the bill if you're looking for an old school, slightly-kitschy mini golf with plenty of clever obstacles. Note that they don't have food/drinks here that I saw, but there's a cute (though somewhat pricey) coffee shop next door if you need to grab a bite. read more

Set up kind of weirdly-- unlike other mini golf places, the end of the hole doesn't lead you to the next hole. You sometimes have to backtrack or look around to find the next whole. It's also like a carpet so there's ripples and lumps that will mess you up. The tubes you can aim to hit into doesn't actually bring you to the hole so there's no advantage-- three times our balls got stuck, and one of those times my boyfriend had to lay on his stomach to pick the ball out with the club. There's also spiderwebs everywhere. One of the weirdest things was the amount of religious signage all around the place. LOVED IT!!! Had low expectations because of the reviews... but honestly so much fun! It makes me so sad that people complained about the little imperfections I think it just makes it funner! So many fun holes I've never seen anywhere else!! And the woman I think is the owner is so kind and always there if you need help or have questions! Slightly rundown, with crumbling features in some holes. Be forewarned payment is cash or check only. I haven't played a lot of mini golf lately so I don't know how prices compare but we paid $10 each for 2 adults for 18 holes. As others have mentioned, there are lots of signs with Bible quotes sprinkled throughout the course, which made it kind of a quirky experience. I gave it a "maybe" recommendation because the kids will probably enjoy it and it has a good location on route 6A. I'm sure there are other courses on the Cape in much better condition, but it may be more expensive to play there. read more

Unfortunately we went on a humid day with no wind or breeze and the gnats and mosquitoes were out. We normally stay in Harwich Port and play either at Pirate Cove or a closer one. We decided to drive a little further and try something different. I must say it is a very unique course and they offer 2 courses. There were a lot of Bible quotes/scriptures, I kind of liked it. Some people might not like it but it's not in your face. The place could use an update or fresh coat of paint. There is a stream that runs through the property and the incorporated it into some of the holes. Maybe a little to far to play there again but if we are in the area I'd definitely go back again read more

This may be the most original, at least unique, miniature golf course you'll ever play, and we've been playing here for decades and still enjoy it. The original 18 holes meander over a tidal stream, where four of the holes actually play differently depending on how high the tide is. Such a course would never pass environmental review these days, and as such you'll never see new construction on sensitive tidal waters of this sort. (Tip: on the barge hole, at high tide you can wiggle the barge for a hole in one.) All the holes are individually designed, and the family that has built this out spent a lot of effort designing that section of the course individually. Throw in the fact this backs right up on the train line, so in summer if you time it right you get to see the Cape Cod & Hyannis train as you golf, you have something pretty special. They took direct inspiration from Christian religion, and you will take note there's a lot of biblical scripture quoted in the individual holes, particularly the "back 18". So if you're an adherent you will take heart, and if you are not you are forewarned. Unfortunately, as they added on holes they rerouted the course so to play four of the very best holes you have to play the full 36 (the blue card), which go into the somewhat less inspired "upper" holes that have been built in more recent years and which aren't quite as original, and play more as putt-challenges than theme holes. I do strongly recommend playing the blue card though as it's the only way to experience the core holes of the original course, and it's not like the less-wonderful holes aren't just as good, for the most part, as on any other original course. You will also note there are flying insects everywhere (they provide insect spray at strategic spots around the course) because it's on a wetland. There's no refreshments available here - one of the few courses you'll see without a snack bar - so bring your own water. Finally, I think the maintenance on the course has suffered in recent years - the non-tidal running water isn't working, seemingly permanently, on a couple of my favorite holes (including Moby Dick), the astroturf needs relaying on quite a number of holes, and some of the original concrete is corroded and badly in need of recasting. I'm hoping they're not just phoning it in at this point, and I'm willing to strip off a couple of stars if they don't fix this in future years. One other point I have seen be a consistent sore point: the course does get crowded, and there's a point where the players on the 36-hole (blue) card merge back in with the players from the 18-hole (white) card, and there's lots of confusion there where it appears people are "jumping ahead". Given that some of the holes are layed out a bit confusingly, so you aren't quite sure what's next based on the path, this can be a particular problem on a crowded day. And they do not enforce rules about maximum numbers of players, so families with little kids and parties not respecting the six-stroke limit can really back it up. I recommend coming early in the morning to avoid both these problems and the worst of the mosquitos. That said, a course as inspired and unique as this that gets us coming back every year and has entertained the family over four decades now certainly deserves five stars. I have got to say, this place is terrific! As courses go, it was quite challenging, and they have 36 holes (you can play 18 or 36). We have gone 3 times this summer, and my kids keep asking to go back. It is just a nice, old-school, Cape Cod mini golf course. We were there over 2 hours, so well worth the money. We spent some time chatting with Lynn who was manning the booth, and she could not have been nicer. Of note, the entire time we were golfing, she was working on the grounds - mowing the lawn and blowing debris off the course. You can tell she takes pride in this course and her job. And, the day ended on a high note when my 5 year old got a hole in one, winning a free round. We will be back! read more

Nice course. We are in town for the July 4th holiday. We played 18 but you can play 36. Unique holes that I've never seen before. Saw some prior reviews about a lot of bible verses so was turned off by that, but there was only verses on the 17th hole. So was happy about that. Five stars for triumph. I personally improved my score from 66 to 55 in three rounds. I made a hole in one! Hole in one! ME! WOO! I could feel myself edging up to the hat-trick champion with her solid 41 almost every round. Favorite Hole: Either the one where you stand on a slightly rocking platform OR the one with the whale. Least Favorite Hole: Stupid trying to hit it across the pond where you (read: me) always have to fish your ball out of the water. At least there are awesome ball scoopers. Oh, and the back 18 is peppered with inspirational (but improperly cited) Bible verses. And a Big Jesus Cross that makes you HOPE that the last hole will involve it. A visit to Sandwich is not complete without going here. Probably the most challenging course on the Cape. It does have the run down look and the greens are not very even which adds to the challenge. They are working on some repairs and have added holes to speed up play as it gets busy around dinner time and obviously cloudy days. Do not expect to get par's every hole! Enjoy! read more

I've been here several times, but only because it's closer to where I live than Pirates Cove! The course is just OK -- you can find MUCH better in Yarmouth and Hyannis. The props aren't really that cool, most are really old. I feel like the place needs a facelift. Also, just the other day my friends and I wanted to go and play one night, and I called ahead to make sure they were still open. They said the last tee time is at 9pm, so we hopped in the car and arrived at 9pm ON THE DOT. And they said sorry, last tee time is at 9pm..........even though it WAS 9pm, they actually didn't let us play -- I even showed him my phone, which said 9pm! We were so disappointed. My family was on the train when we saw this delightful golf course go by. I wanted to go when we got off we searched for the place. We arrived when they were closing and they let us play! It is the best mini golf course I have ever been to since the closing of the one in Freetown. To top it off we saw another train go by, sealing the deal for me. (I love trains.) I have been to this place multiple times and I have always have a great time at this place. As being near the beach, it incorporates lots of cape cod themes into it with a challenging course that even golfers will have a challenge doing so. Also, this place is very family friendly as no alcoholic beverages were allowed and there were no rowdy people that would make you want to leave. This place is super unsafe for young kids. One wrong step and you're in the creek that runs through the course (no rails, or barriers of any kind.) The creek is also a breeding ground for mosquitos. We did 18 holes in about 20 minutes; we couldn't wait to leave. Also they charge for all kids no matter the age. Paying for my 1 year old seemed ridiculous. Challenging course but AWFUL employee. Don't you dare try to play with 4+ players. Got there at 9 pm no one behind us and the lady who ran the place was nasty and kept commenting that we we breaking the rules and not allowed to play with 7 people on the green. She wanted us to split up family of 3 and family of 4 separately. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?? Again let me stress NO ONE WAS BEHIND US THE REST OF THE NIGHT! To make it worse she starred at us the whole time. Didn't know if she was putting some religious hex on us! And after every hole she would shut the light off at that spot in an effort to get out early!! At final hole it was 9:45 she made sure we didn't "fix" a hole in one cause that would've given us a free game!
