Completely Awesome! Very sanitary, multiple techs so no wait but they also do appointments. Very pleasant friendly conversation. Atmosphere feels like a spa. Only downfall is no bright colors to choose from & they ONLY do white stencils BUT they very talented with free hand. read more

I had made a 9 o'clock appointment with Trin at Modern Nails in Sandusky three weeks ago. I get there 10 min early and there someone at her station. When I question if I will be taken on time. She gets rude and says since I am in a hurry she refuses to honor my appointment. Mind you she doesn't say this directly to me. Her and her husband Lee are talking in Vietnamese right in front of me. Speak English and not hide what you're saying. What kind of business is this???? Plenty of other places in town! As if I can't get my nails without her services. Don't believe reviews on Google. Check out their reviews on Yelp. read more

Horrible horrible salon and rude people who cuss at you when they mess up! Admitted defective lights, unwillingly to fix or work with me and it was almost 200 dollars! Working with my bank to recoup some loss from this awful place! read more

I've been going there for 20 years. The management screwed up my appointment not once but twice and then told me I couldn't go back the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. read more

Used to go here all the time but I now see that Modern Nail lacks ethics and integrity and apparently support terrorism and genocide. Asked for acrylic design over the phone and they were fine with this. When I came in they said they couldn't do a simple design of the Palestinian flag. Hm wonder why they couldn't do a simple design of a Palestinian flag? The only explanation is that Modern Nail does not support the people of Palestine who are the victims of a government sanctioned genocide via being having their homes, schools, hospitals and mosques bombed and their families starved, displaced, and murdered. They are murdering entire families in Palestine in the name of creating a Greater Israel and to steal oil from Palestine ...you would think people that were the victims of genocide via the Vietnam "war" (genocide) would have some empathy for civilians of Palestine . Guess not! Good riddance to Sandusky "modern" nail. If there is a nail place in Sandusky that has integrity please DM me! read more

Sandusky Modern Nail - This is the design Modern Nail claimed they couldn't do. - Nail Salons Near Me - Sandusky, Ohio

This is the second time I've been to Modern Nail and I loved it again! The first time I got a pedicure with my friend when I was pregnant. The chairs were so relaxing and comfortable (especially for at the end of my pregnancy) and the staff is so friendly. Chloe did my nails this time and they turned out close to perfect! We also had a great, deep and personal conversation. She's wonderful. Request her!!! I will definitely be coming back again! the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's a bit pricy for me, but it's understandable why! read more

I LOVE this salon, but I do NOT recommend having Chloe do your nails. My fills normally last me 3-4 weeks, after having them done by her I had to have 1 nail re-done 3 times within 1 week!! The polish also started coming off within the second! Not to mention that my nails were left looking bumpy/chunky. So beware. read more

They did a pretty good job for a nail salon in sandusky. im from chicago so im used to being in a more saturated professional nail area. I just wish more places would use valentino tips for their acrylics. 2 weeks and still on no lifting. not worth 70$ plus 10$ tip tho. read more

Modern nails is my new go-to!! I was a walk-in and didn't have to wait. Kim was the gal that did my set, she did everything I asked for. Will be back soon! read more

I appreciated the appropriate plexiglass partitions and cleanliness. I did feel like there were too many customers at one time. My pedicure felt rushed and my technician cut my toe. A good but not great pedicure. Very nice selections of polish. Very accommodating in booking my appointment. read more

I got a gel manicure on Friday September 12 after being told that it would last around 2 weeks and on Monday just 3 days after I got it, it started peeling off. I live over 2 hours away and was only in town for a wedding or I would personally go in and get them fixed. When I called, they refused to refund the cost of the nails, and the person I talked to was quite rude. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want sub-par services read more

Sandusky Modern Nail - Notice the lack of gel polish and the badly filed nail. - Nail Salons Near Me - Sandusky, Ohio

This salon is very nice on the inside. Service was friendly, they open early at 9:30 am and I was able to walk right in. I asked for a festive nail for Christmas and showed them a pic, a young lady hand painted exactly what I showed her. I LOVE these nails, I will be returning for future touch-ups. read more

Got a gel manicure and regular pedicure here -- it was $83! I couldn't believe the price. Everything else about the place is great -- cute decor and great people working there. The only reason I've reduced the stars is the price, especially as it seemed a bit misleading from the posted prices. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. The first time at this place I got a pedicure and a dip gel manicure. It was okay. My next appointment was awful. The woman doing my nails had obviously never used dipping powder. It was so obviously bad, they told me to come back this week when I had time to have them redone. Today, I asked a question about how yet another person did my nails and asked her not to use a coral color she had chosen for a design. She told me that the salon would not be doing my nails ever again. The owner told me "good," when I mentioned what she had said. read more

Been going there for years. The owner is always updating the inside, always tastefully done. A very nice atmosphere and very clean. I love the chairs they been replaced since I started coming a few years ago. read more

This place rocks! It looks super sketchy from the outside, but is a high quality nail salon inside. The pedicure chairs ROCK! Check it out!

Probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They're rude, and they don't care. Especially Lee, the owner, the multiple times I've been in there he acts cocky and stuck up and only does people he feels like doing. He's turned me away multiple times. Sick of it. Will never go in there again. read more

Lee is the rudest person I have ever talked to on the phone. I simply asked about making an appointment for removing polish and removing jewels on my hands and feet since that is what I was told to do by the nail stylist that did my nails the last time because the designs I want on my nails always take so long. Lee said I didn't need an appointment and as I proceeded to tell him what I was instructed to do then he started getting out of pocket and saying I was rude for not listening to him about not needing an appointment because he is the boss. WHAAAAATTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please keep in mind I have know idea who this man is because I have only been there twice and why would I know anything about him being the boss. They all do nails and none of them have a signs on them saying I am the boss! Then to top off him being rude He hung up on me! So I called back and asked why he hung up on me when I was trying to explain why I asked for an appointment. He said he doesn't have time to have a conversation with me and don't call back again because if I did it would be harassing him. Even though he was the one being rude by hanging up on his customer. That is definitely not the way a BOSS is supposed to behave. What in the world is happening!!! He couldn't have be any more rude to a customer. Especially since I wasn't yelling Or cursing just simply trying to have a conversation with this man. All I can say is "wow" he has taken customer service to a whole new level. I will definitely spread the word to beware of his behavior and bad customer service. Shame on him for treating his paying customers so awful read more

It's a very busy place but once you get your nails done, you'll understand why! Friendly service, reasonably priced, appointments accepted (highly recommend), creativity of the nail artists so you can get a design with out the obvious spray paint, very personable, and the cleanliness and decor makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I'm not going anywhere else anytime soon. I will let my nails fall off before I get a balance somewhere else. All of them are great, by my fav is Trina. read more
