Friendly office staff, great care and flexibility with my schedule. Having a home unit made a big difference since I live in Montgomery.

My post Covid vaccine activated migraines were awful!!! Dr Bonds helped to try conservative…read moretreatments and compassion but my genetics were fighting everything so had to progress to Botox. Dr Bonds is very skilled , smart, gentile , and kind. Medical training in Hawaii make a difference. Insurance or Medicare plus supplement is required as very careful and a lot of paperwork . Very nice staff - tough job. Highly recommend !!!! Ten stars.

Save yourself time and money- stay away from this place…read more I went in for chronic migraine treatment, and later for seizure treatment as well. When I arrived for my first appointment, 15 minutes early, they told me that they could not possibly see me that day because I was "late". I was apparently supposed to arrive even earlier, though that was never communicated to me. I drive nearly 3 hours to get to this appointment, and they made me turn around and just drive home. Another lady had the same issue immediately after me (while I was still in the waiting room), but as I was STILL sitting there the rude receptionist told her "normally we'd have to reschedule, but someone else just cancelled their appointment, so we'll be able to work you in." Complete disregard for me or the physical state I was in with my debilitating pain. I sobbed in the parking lot because of how hopeless these people made me feel. After rescheduling my appointment and coming back to the office again, I was finally able to talk to the doctor for the first time. To say that Dr. Bonds has no bedside manner is an understatement. When we were looking to get started on migraine medicine, Dr. Bonds wanted to put me on one that you cannot take while pregnant. Not an issue for me. She asked me if there was any chance I was pregnant. I told her no. She asked me several more times if I was sure, and I assured her that I was in fact sure. She asked if there was any chance I could become pregnant. When I told her no, she doubled down and asked if I was on any kind of birth control. Once again, I told her that I wasn't but that there was also zero chance of me becoming pregnant. To which she replied, "Well, what if you get r*ped? I just have to be realistic, here." I think that summarizes her bedside manner pretty accurately. Lastly, I had to cancel a couple of appointments due to the debilitating conditions I've been dealing with this year. You know, the same conditions I was seeking treatment for with her office. I rescheduled an appointment, which I was told by the agency doing the testing was absolutely fine and no worries, only to receive a NASTY phone call from Dr. Bonds' office saying that they're kicking me out as a patient because I'm "unreliable" and they have to give the appointments to patients that are "serious about seeking care" and "actually need the appointments". This office has no compassion, no morals, no regard for patients who are struggling or in pain. They only want your money, on their own terms, or they'll tell you to get out. Oh, and they also over-charged our insurance which resulted in my medical spending card shutting down for a while. These people suck.

Prior to seeing Dr. Edwin Lo (a neurosurgeon at SpineTech) in March of 2023, I was having SEVERE…read morepain radiating down my left leg. After my initial consultation with Dr. Lo, we determined to start treatment for the pain starting with the most conservative treatment and progressing from there. By starting with conservative treatment, Dr. Lo was able to assess what level would stop the pain. Before starting different treatments, Dr. Yu (a neurologist) ran a series of nerve tests to assess how my nerves were responding to pain stimulus, This assessment involved putting an EKG-type monitor on different parts of my body and administering static electricity to those areas, which were recorded on an EKG-type machine. This assessment gave the doctors a baseline from which to work. While these assessments were being done, the pain was increasing from just one leg to both legs and my right arm to the point, where was NOT able to lift my arm above shoulder-level without wanting to buckle in nerve pain. Initially, Dr. Lo prescribed medication which somewhat numbed the pain, but, didn't stop it entirely. after that step failed, the next step was to try injections, (2 sets) which were not effective for long. The pain returned with a vengeance and increased in severity, making it difficult to try to continue to work. After the injections failed to produce any lasting results, I tried a chiropractor. Again the results were short-lived. After these methods failed to produce lasting pain-relief. Dr. Lo decided that the best (and most productive) course of action was spine surgery. On December 1st, 2023.I had an L4-L5 TLIF procedure done.by Dr. Lo and his assistant Dr. Choi. What I remember the most about this surgery is waking up from it, and not having ANY NERVE PAIN whatsoever. I could move my arms/shoulders and legs freely. IT WAS AMAZING the relief was instantaneous. I have had several follow-up appointments with SpineTech and Dr. Lo since then and I have nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about this doctor and his office

I am a chronic migraine sufferer and have been my entire life. I've gone to other neurologists over…read morethe years and it seemed like in the past the doctors are very full of themselves and don't truly care about their patients. I'd almost given up hopes of finding a neurologist that cared, but thankfully a friend referred me to Dr. Sloan and this is not at all the case with her. Immediately you are greeted with a waiting room that is beautiful, not at all like most doctor offices. The staff cares about you. And Dr. Sloan takes whatever time her patients need. Finally after more than 20 years of seeing different neurologists, I've finally found someone that takes the time for me and truly cares about my needs. They also work through the insurance maze, and believe me, my insurance tries to deny and give us all the run around but as a team we are diligent to keep my treatment from being interrupted so that I'm not in daily migraines but can work and have a normal daily life. If you are not happy with your neurologist, I'd switch to Dr. Sloan. I make sure to pick an insurance plan that her office accepts before I choose my insurance each time it comes up for renewal. I verify with both before I pick my plan.
