I was told by three Neurologist and one neuro surgeon that my stenosis and neuropathy was incurable. Dr. Yu introduced to Dr. Khan in their practice. He looked at my nerve test and said it was severe but he could help me. Fast forward i had my left leg and foot surgery yesterday. Its amazing the difference already. He gave me my life back. I already having back in my foot. I would go from walking on glass to couldn't feel my feet and fall. For years i had this problem. I'm can't believe the results over night. Prior to seeing Dr. Edwin Lo (a neurosurgeon at SpineTech) in March of 2023, I was having SEVERE…read morepain radiating down my left leg. After my initial consultation with Dr. Lo, we determined to start treatment for the pain starting with the most conservative treatment and progressing from there. By starting with conservative treatment, Dr. Lo was able to assess what level would stop the pain. Before starting different treatments, Dr. Yu (a neurologist) ran a series of nerve tests to assess how my nerves were responding to pain stimulus, This assessment involved putting an EKG-type monitor on different parts of my body and administering static electricity to those areas, which were recorded on an EKG-type machine. This assessment gave the doctors a baseline from which to work. While these assessments were being done, the pain was increasing from just one leg to both legs and my right arm to the point, where was NOT able to lift my arm above shoulder-level without wanting to buckle in nerve pain. Initially, Dr. Lo prescribed medication which somewhat numbed the pain, but, didn't stop it entirely. after that step failed, the next step was to try injections, (2 sets) which were not effective for long. The pain returned with a vengeance and increased in severity, making it difficult to try to continue to work. After the injections failed to produce any lasting results, I tried a chiropractor. Again the results were short-lived. After these methods failed to produce lasting pain-relief. Dr. Lo decided that the best (and most productive) course of action was spine surgery. On December 1st, 2023.I had an L4-L5 TLIF procedure done.by Dr. Lo and his assistant Dr. Choi. What I remember the most about this surgery is waking up from it, and not having ANY NERVE PAIN whatsoever. I could move my arms/shoulders and legs freely. May 18, 2023 Came in…read moreto see Dr Rishi Lall, Neurologist for a consultation on an MRI I had due to a rollover crash I had last summer Don't go to the Neuro Surgeon dept like I did; it's the 2nd floor Ste 270 I got here 11 minutes late at 1241p for a 1230 appointment; I waited until 1258 to get back into the exam room. 130p for nurse practitioner to talk with me and 135p for Doc to arrive. Very busy office. Lots of people in pain. Sad really. But, ME? Even with several bulging discs on spine and in lower back and neck...at 61, I'm doing better than most at my age (per the Dr). Dr Lall is probably in his 30's and very friendly. I like him and would see him again.

He offered to only fix one of the herniated disc, said that my neurolgist and the MRI technician were 'wrong', and when I began to cry, because I really was anticipating some help, sat and stared at me. I will not be returning and highly recommend that another doctor be found to anyone that doesn't want to pump money into a system (that he openly supports) of physical therapy and injections when studies show that do not work. He did not offer me any pain medication or any other relief and agreed that his diagnosis was that I should 'deal' with the pain.

Literally everything to help my pain. I have spent so much money in pain management. All they did for me today was give me pain pills which I didn't want at all bc I can't even take them at work. I have been to several doctors (three) over the years to have this issue resolved. In general, all of the doctors said that this problem could not be permanently fixed, but they could help me manage my pain. I will never know if I was responsible for not getting the care I needed because I chose doctors with the wrong medical specialties, nevertheless less I decided to take a different approach. I called Dr Mark Prasarn an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. After Speaking with Dr. Prasarn, I left his office feeling inspired. Nothing was fixed yet, but I was filled with hope. Dr. Prasarn said the cause of my back pain was Spondilolithesis. He also said that it wasn't as bad as some others that he has seen in the past and that the surgery could fix my problem. I really appreciate the fact that he spent a considerable amount of time with me that day. Dr. Prasarn has a very methodical approach regarding care. He first recommended that I try physical therapy, if there was little to no change in my pain level we would then move on to pain management. If the pain level persists, we would try surgery. It is good game plan for him to start with the least invasive strategies until he could provide a decision that matched my personal needs. I did eventually have surgery. After just two weeks from the day of my surgery the pain was completely gone. I waited four months to write this review because I wanted to see if there would be any recurring issues concerning my back pain. I am happy to report that I feel great!! I have not experienced any pain (nothing!). For me this surgery has been life changing. I can't tell you all the special accommodations that were made for me just to take a walk. I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Prasarn a very good doctor and really a very nice person. He has the credentials and it is very obvious that he has a strong desire for helping people. For me, he was just the right person at the right time. I highly recommend Dr. Prasarn if you are experiencing any back pain that requires professional help
