Several times across multiple weeks and months we tried reaching out to Heather and to Coastal Virginia Counseling with no response. I even had my personal therapist attempt to reach out professionally and no response was received. A professional therapist ghosting clients in need is one of the most unprofessional things I have ever seen in therapy. I'm extremely disappointed in the way that I have been treated by the front desk. Everything was…read moregoing fine until my husband lost his job and I was unable to pay my co-pays. I called to make arrangements and was told that I can no longer have my appointment with my provider if I don't pay the balance in full. I tried to explain my situation and I haven't had any problems until now. So needless to say my appointment was canceled and I can no longer get medication for depression, anxiety, etc. I understand that they have a job to do and they need to collect the money. They have lost their compassion annd empathy for people who are going through troubles during this difficult time in our economy. I asked the person answering the phone to please check with the office manager and get back with me to let me know if she's willing to make any arrangements. I never got a phone call. I called back again tried to make more arrangements was told my appointment was canceled. I asked again if they could please speak with the manager give me a call back to see if there is anything we can do to work this out! No return call! I called and asked if they could get a message to the doctor because coming off of this medicine can be dangerous. I was told I'd get a return call back. Once again, no call back. It is not OK to treat people this way. I have no access to getting my prescriptions. I'm surprised there's not a law against this. I normally don't write bad reviews, but they left me no choice. The office manager is the one who runs the front desk! if I had the money I would have paid them. I am not one who skipped out on paying my bills. I know how important these appointments are. Because of this experience, I will no longer be using this establishment.
