There are so many different options of activities to park take in. Some options: Adult workout area, picnic tables, kayak launching area and a wonderful walking trail. If that isn't enough this park also has a few tennis courts, pickle ball courts, basketball courts and volleyball. Including clean restrooms, cover pavilions and cameras in the parking lot. Do not forget the ample parking. If you are local and have yet to visit, I highly recommend doing so!

If you're coming here specifically for the pickleball courts, there's a good amount. When we came, it looks seemed like the followed the play format of four on, four off where a new team of four comes onto the court everytime, so playtime goes by kind of fast and everyone gets a chance to play. I'm sure it tends to change with crowds but I found this useful for a big crowd. They also have paddle holders so you can organize who's up next. Although a bit crowded, we got to play two games before heading out. Located super close to a bathroom and right next to a gazebo/pavilion plus small playground. Overall, great park to play at!

Pompano Beach has put a lot of money and thought into the area they call the Great Lawn. It has a splash pad for the kids and an outdoor shower. If you get hungry you can grab food at Sandbar Snacks. There is even public art projects, the Pirates Treasure Chest and a painted Pompano fish called Yellow Polka Dots. Right behind the lawn is access to the beach. The city of Pompano stages events here like Music Under the Stars and Movies on the Lawn. With beautiful views and plenty of room to relax and hang out, this is a popular gathering place for the beach crowd. I really like what Pompano has been doing to improve the beach area. There is a new parking garage so there is always a spot to park, great new restaurants, outdoor exercise equipment, and a fun playground for the kids. The Great Lawn fits in perfectly with the improved beach area. I can't wait for the last piece to be completed, the new Pompano Beach Pier. I am eagerly awaiting it's opening. I used to come to this beach because it was close to where I live. Now I come because of the great amenities. Well done Pompano.

They have swings and multiple slides. One downfall is there isn't much shade. They have a nice path that circles the playground so kids can scooter or bike. Harry was a city councilman and banker who opened the first movie theater and ran the post office and grocery store while brother Bob spearheaded the city's agriculture and commercial development. The brothers made their fortune in farming which enabled them to own most of old Pompano. They were the first people to own an automobile and have electric lights. I stopped by because I noticed the beautiful large Christmas tree that the city had set up in the park. They also added decorations that light up at night. While it was beautiful display I felt uncomfortable because they were at least 20 homeless people in the small area of the park. At least one was smoking pot right next to a toddler. As I was leaving I ran into a security guard who told me the homeless could be there and it seems like they have made it their gathering spot. It's sad that the homeless of Pompano can't get better services to help them off the street. The city could have saved the money of the decorations and put it towards that. The really ironic thing is the park is directly behind the Pompano Beach visitors center. I don't think this is the welcoming look of Pompano that they wish to convey to tourists. Although I can't recommend a visit the park it also has a clubhouse, tennis and racquetball courts, basketball court, and a children's playgrounds but honestly take your kids somewhere else.

What the glasses did was that it added a figure to the lights. My glasses had snowman and if I moved they moved with me. It was cool. The snowman were everywhere. My son got candy cane. It was the same experience. The staff seemed to be enjoying themselves. Some really got into the holiday spirit. Everyone was very cheerful here. It was a happy atmosphere. I was glad I came.

Hounce houses, photo opportunities, pumpkin patch, pig races, hayrides and more! The kids and us had a blast. Amenities include pavilion shelters which can be rented, picnic areas, grills, restrooms, a walking/ jogging track, a covered playground with an older child and toddler area with climbing structures and slides, and basketball, tennis, handball, and sand volley ball courts. Large trees offer shade. Apollo Park hasn't received any updates in years. Residents in this part of town would like a football field. In lieu of updating the park, the city is currently contemplating building a multi million dollar skate park nearby. During my visit it looked like a lot of men were just hanging out laying on tables. For a park behind a library it didn't feel very safe.
