It must be fairly new because it is beautiful, decorated very nice, smells like a new place. The staff was pleasant to deal with as well. My only negative critique is the breakfast cook was using bare hands to handle food, that's a no bueno. I paid for the meal I ordered but did not eat what was touched. Fix that and this place is holden.

We at first thought that it was broken, because after flushing the toilet the tank takes soooo long to refill. There is no way for someone to use the toilet immediately after you. There has to be a wait time of about 5 minutes to give the toilets time to reset. It was strange. When we called the front office to report the issue, you could tell by the tone and explanation from the worker that this was NOT this first time a guest complained about this issue, nor would it be the last. One thing I was pleased about was the large spread for breakfast. There was something for everyone! If there was an area for improvement, I would suggest prepping more food at a time. There was a worker who was constantly refilling breakfast food items, but the food was getting eaten/taken faster than she could make it. She was preparing very small portions at a time. I get that they don't want to make a surplus and are trying to avoid waste, but people were waiting 10+ minutes at a time for more eggs, biscuits, milk, etc. It was very inconvenient and affected temperature of food when eating. I know, I know.... This is a first world problem. But our waffles were cold and cereal was soggy because we waited for more eggs and sausage (over 10 minutes).

Bed is comfy and bathroom is very spacious. Furniture and appliances are very modern. Staff is very friendly and check in process was a breeze. They have free hot breakfast in the mornings and usually some kind of mixer in the evenings which is a great touch after a long day at work. Check in was an easy process and the hotel lobby and common areas were clean and well maintained. We were on the 2nd floor, getting to the room wasn't difficult at all and the room was clean. The bedrooms were nice however the beds didn't have fitted sheets. Just a regular sheet tucked in, but we found some spare sheets in the closet of one of the rooms. The TV's had some issues as far as certain channels if you tried to put it on, the tv would just shut off. We ended up just finding a channel that didn't shut off the tv and all was well. The room was very spacious and nice. The continental breakfast was small but there was something for everyone which was really nice. The hotel is located near a lot of food options, which is really convenient. All of the hotel staff we walked past were really friendly and greeted guests as they walked by and overall I'd recommend staying here if you're in the Texarkana area.

The hallways were clean a little smelly at times, but eventually housekeeping, got it together. The modern look and aesthetics were simplistic and not too much just enough to make us feel comfortable. Breakfast was pretty normal of what you see at other free breakfast locations. My favorite part about this hotel was that it was minutes away from everything we needed. I felt safe and it was very quiet for the most part. I would recommend.
