We've had three sessions with Sandy so far, and each one has been such a fun and memorable experience! Our first shoot was a 1950s-inspired 4-year anniversary session during Almond Blossom season, followed by a solo shoot with the same vintage theme (also set among the blossoms). Most recently, we had our 1st wedding anniversary session in Downtown Modesto -- a bit more casual, but just as special! Sandy always makes us feel completely at ease in front of the camera -- which is saying a lot since my husband hates being photographed! She keeps every session light, fun, and natural, and she has such a great eye for capturing genuine, in-the-moment smiles. She's also amazing at recreating inspo photos you share ahead of time, so if you have a vision, she'll absolutely help bring it to life. The photos turned out AMAZING -- she captured our personalities and the joy of the day perfectly. I was literally laughing in most of the pictures, and I love that she caught those candid moments so beautifully. This was our third shoot with Sandy, and it definitely won't be our last. Sandra went above and beyond our hopes and expectations in taking family photos. We had 6 busy boys and 6 adults and Sandra was so patient with all of us. Sandra had recommended the location for our photo session and we were very happy with location. She took so many photos (Over 600!) and was not in any hurry to finish up the photo session. The proofs were actually ready the next day!! What!!! Amazing!! Then we were able to choose our favorite 15 and she edited them for us. Hi. I'm the radio guy, but I am not being paid to leave this comment. I am writing this review because we had a radio related work project, my back was against the wall, and Sandra came through like a FRIGGIN' CHAMP!! Seriously.. we had a fund raiser calendar that needed photography ASAP. It required a photographer who was flexible, creative, and willing to roll with unexpected obstacles, and Sandra not only rolled with it, but exceeded all expectations!! She was where she said she would be, when she said she would be there, and she delivered photography that has women in my office dropping their jaws (this was a sexy first responders calendar)! Sandy is GREAT with children! I have one child who loves the camera and poses and is photogenic, and another child who turns to stone when a camera is near her. Or cries. Sandy was able to get great shots of BOTH children. And her ideas are adventurous and new. She brought props and toys to keep them entertained. We went on a hike and the kids had fun exploring, the photos of them being themselves are fantastic. I can't wait to work with Sandy again. :) read more

I'm not big on getting professional pictures taken (I blame Sears and JC Penneys) but when I became pregnant for the first time, I thought it was worth documenting. I actually heard of Sandra Rose Photography by word of mouth, and I'm glad I did. She was very patient, as I wasn't really sure what I wanted. She was excited to offer all kinds of awesome suggestions and was cheerful through the whole shoot. I've been in awe of Sandy's photographs for awhile. She had always been able to capture amazing photos and special moments in our friends' lives for years. So when it came to choosing a photographer for our wedding, maternity photos and twins' 1st Birthday it was an absolute no brainer.
