If I could leave a rating of 0 I would. "Jackie" at the company (of the constant "voicemail box is full") first sent a guy out to assess our needs. He arrived 2 hours late. Nice guy though. Over the next two weeks we arrived at a plan where Sandpoint Movers would have 2 of their team pack a 16-foot POD for us. The POD arrived 5 days earlier, and we let it stand empty, confident in knowing this outfit would show up the day before and get the POD loaded. That morning, the day before the POD was getting picked up, nobody showed up. Tried calling their number several times and got the same "mailbox is full" greeting. So we did it ourselves, in a rush, because these people ghosted us. That night we received a call from their business number and "Kathy" told us they'd be there the next morning. When we told her Jackie had set this up for today and they never showed her ironic answer was "why didn't you call us?". Then she gave us some song and dance about her phone breaking and the mailbox filled up while she was getting it replaced. We'd tried to text that number and it's a landline. And two people clearly sharing the same line. We're disgusted with these people. read more

I hired 7B Handyman services the night of the 5th, they moved the couch in less than an hour the morning of the 6th. A call either way would have been the right thing to do. read more

Moving can be extremely stressful. And for us it was. Was supposed to use a PODS unit but they backed out during the day of delivery and left us hanging. Had to scramble and got some lame company who could only move half our stuff. Everything got scratched up and they had no idea how to move two large and heavy gun safes. When they picked them up, they damaged the floor and trim around the carpet. Then they delivered them to the new house and dumped them in the middle of the garage. Our neighbors recommended Sandpoint Movers. They were awesome. They were able to come out the day we needed them. The were meticulous in moving the safes. Put padding down on the floors and carpets. Only 1 came in the house but they moved it perfectly. We recommended them to our neighbors and they were ecstatic with them as well. Not planning on moving ever again, but if we need to move anything big or heavy, I do recommend them to anybody in this area. read more

Highly recommended! My mom is moving from Idaho to Florida right now. It's stressful to move cross-country and (given that I live in LA) I've been worried about her. In early March 2017, when the snow and ice were still around, four guys from Sandpoint Movers came to Newport, WA to get our lake house contents out of storage and back into our house. One word to describe them, "awesome!" They moved all of our stuff from a jam packed storage unit to our two story four bedroom home in less than 8 hours. I'm actually surprised at all the good reviews here. Earlier this year we moved to Colorado from Idaho. We had a ton going on so had to leave it to Sandpoint Movers to move our belongings (ALL of them) and our camper van to us in Southern Colorado. Since we had obligations there, Jackie assured us we would not be needed at our house when they loaded up the truck. Bad mistake. When Jeff arrived, he told us several items were left at the house in Idaho. Jeff took $1000 off of our bill to cover these items. However, on the way down, the camper van, which was being towed, was somehow damaged. Jeff told us that we should try to file with our insurance for the camper van because "it was just one of those things". He offered to "maybe" split the repair costs with us. Later that day, we realized that more of our items were missing than they had told us about and had a friend go to our house to get them. When our friend got there, nothing was there. Sandpoint Movers had taken our stuff to their shop and we had to arrange for our friend meet them to pick things up... (Jackie had called and left us a message that they had some things, but only after our friend went to the house and found nothing there.) I'm trying to keep this brief, but to this day they haven't acknowledged that they HAVE some of the items that were left, including a gifted silk aspen tree with a replacement value of $700. The damages to the van were $2000. We sent a certified letter with the estimate, which they signed for. We sent another certified letter with the invoice for completed repairs, which went unclaimed. $1000 doesn't cover the loss that we had with this company. And now there is no response from them. I would not recommend them at all. We trusted you guys and you let us down. read more

My mom has lived in Sandpoint 22 years and during that time she's used Sandpoint Movers three times. She raved to me about how good they were and when I came to help her this year, I finally saw firsthand the strong work ethic and the impressive packing skills of the employees. Jeff has, in my opinion, *extraordinary* visual-spatial skills. He has a remarkable ability to solidly and safely pack a truck, making all the random objects of a household fit together like a 3-D puzzle. We were pretty certain we'd need to rent a trailer in addition to the 16' truck we rented. But he packed everything so brilliantly, no trailer was needed, saving us money. Randy was a dynamo, always moving and always careful. These two men are mature and showed great care with every item. They listened carefully to our requests and were good at communicating their suggestions as well. They arrived early, worked hard the whole time and were humble when we praised them. read more

We recently had them pack and load my elderly mother. We paid for a professional job and did not receive anything close to that. One of the individuals that packed did do a pretty good job. The other could have cared less. I have moved seven times myself and have never seen such a horrible packing job. In addition, once we unloaded at the destination, we realized that they did not pack a significant number of items. Not necessarily a significant value, but things she wanted. All in all a less than satisfactory experience. read more
