Having younger kids (grands) and others in our group we love the exclusiveness of the resort. We've met some of the same guests year after year. It's so tranquil and peaceful, just what a vacation should be. The kids love the swimming area, the cabins a yurts are always clean. We fish, we rent a boat, we've seen bald eagles, osprey and the kid's favorite, turtles. It's a dog friendly resort, which is one of the main reasons for loving The Narrows.

Games in the room by the office and also bathroom/showers available. There wasn't much space for kids to ride there bikes. Was a great stay still.

We finally found where we were supposed to be and decided to just pull in and get set up for the night. The camp sites were VERY short, we were barely able to fit our unit in, which was not what the website stated. There were also lots of trees hanging down and overgrown that made it difficult to get in. All of the other units in the camp ground were covered in spider webs and overgrown weeds/grasses. Clearly many people had not moved their units in a long time and several probably had not had people inside them in a long time either. Overall it was not a very comfortable place to be. I would not have felt comfortable staying there as a female alone. The lake is right across the street but it was buggy, hot, humid, and smelled like sewage. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone to stay, nor would I stay there again myself. Luckily we were only passing through for the night and only there maybe a total of 12 hours, but that was even too long.

The park itself is beautiful peaceful lake views, well-kept grounds, and such a calm, relaxing vibe. Everything was clean and easy! Full hookups worked perfectly and the whole place felt safe and cared for. We loved taking morning walks with our dog around the property and just soaking in how quiet and serene and perfect for unwinding together. But what truly made this stay special was the management. She is hands-down one of the nicest, most attentive people we've ever encountered at any RV park. Friendly, helpful, and clearly proud of what she runs, and it shows. Our rv sites were clean and mowed when we arrived. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The price of the sites is very inexpensive. Bring cash! The amenities nearby are plenty. We were able to get propane for our fire pits right down the road. We enjoyed visiting the nearby wineries and Anderson Valley Brewing Company. The two-bedroom, two-bath townhome has a fantastic layout and felt very spacious. We also appreciated having the barbecue on our private patio, which was very convenient for family meals. The living room was comfortable, and we were able to enjoy watching the soccer game on the TV. Unfortunately, the resort could use much better maintenance and housekeeping. As we walked up to the second floor, the stairways were noticeably dirty and looked like they needed to be power washed. There were spiderwebs throughout the property, and the number of bugs everywhere was overwhelming. The property itself is in desperate need of renovation. The front entrance and common areas are the first impression guests receive, and they were not clean or well-maintained. The overall appearance of the resort lacked curb appeal and did not feel welcoming. The townhome has a wonderful layout and plenty of potential, but it also needs updating and a much more thorough cleaning. The biggest disappointment was the customer service at the front office. I couldn't believe the way my family was treated. The staff was not welcoming or helpful, and they would greatly benefit from customer service training. Guests should feel valued and respected from the moment they arrive. The fitness center has quality equipment, but the room is so small that the large machines make it feel cramped. We were also unable to enjoy the pool because it was overcrowded with large inflatable floats, loud rap music, and there was nowhere to sit and relax. One small inconvenience was that the living room TV only had one remote, which made it difficult for everyone to use. Overall, WorldMark Clear Lake has a beautiful location and a well-designed townhome layout, but the resort needs significant renovations, better cleanliness, improved maintenance, a more presentable front entrance, and much stronger customer service. We stayed here this past weekend as a short getaway for my birthday. The place has potential, but…read moreunfortunately much of the "resort" promised on the website isn't even available. The customer service here is not great. The people are nice enough, but the people working the front desk do not seem to know the answers to even basic questions. Even though the place was completely empty, they charge for an early check in. Our reservation was not correct, and they put us in a regular double room instead of the suite we asked for. Had to return to the lodge and get all new keys and room after unloading and reloading the car. We also paid for a late checkout, and we still got locked out of our room and no one responded to our call. We had to go down to the lobby, which isn't easy here, after being promised someone was on their way. Getting anything takes forever or no one knows the answer. We stayed Saturday to Monday. Unfortunately, the onsite food service and bars close at 3pm on Sundays even though that was our full day there. The tiki bar was hardly open to get drinks by the pool. Essentially the only thing to actually do here is swim in the pool, get a massage, or use the gym. No kayak rentals, no mini-golf course, no pontoon cruises, etc despite all of this being advertised on the website. It was mostly empty and felt very abandoned in most parts of the property. The highlights: the pool is nice and people were very friendly. The bartender was awesome and went above and beyond to do what she could. The actual suite was nice, but not worth the price based on the other amenities being unavailable. The massage therapist was amazing! If the owners put any effort into this place, it could be great. The lake and scenery are amazing. In its current state, we wouldn't return.

So every year we do a family blue lake trip with my husband and 2 kids. And his father (and a few…read moreothers). His father puts it on and books our rooms for us which is super sweet. He's been here before, my husband and I have not. We came late July for 4 days/3 nights and the weather was perfect in the mid 80's. Water wasn't too cold. It's always windy there I feel like. We had a really wonderful time. We came to blue lake last August at a different campground and it was over100 degrees every day. This lodge was pretty cool. I've seen the negative reviews and I do understand where people are coming from. However the pros did outweigh the cons for us. Apparently there is new ownership. The two men who work there and that we encountered the time we were there were very nice, helpful and always around if we needed anything. Garbages were dumped every day , property seemed well maintained. We stayed in the suite with the full kitchen and futon in living room for the kids. It had AC which was very nice! I guess my only complaints was - 1) "beach" is definitely on the smaller side. wasn't really a problem for us though 2) the rooms were definitely not very clean. The floors were very nasty and I wouldn't let anyone in the family walk on them barefoot. The futon was fabric and yucky stains everywhere , everything in the kitchen felt sticky, walls were dirty, etc. But you can't really expect much since you're at a cabin at the lake. I just wish it had been a cleaner. Like floors should be vacuumed and mopped after every guest and it was very clear that they had not been for a very long time. 3) you have to pay to use their propane BBQs. I So we had our own little camping stove we brought and used. 4) definitely feels a bit overpriced for what you get here. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay. It was fun to jump and swim off the dock, we caught tons of bluegill and bass from the dock every day/night. The grassy area out front looking out in the lake was beautiful, great view. They had tables and chairs outside the rooms and on the grass. We brought a SUP and lots of floaties and was at the beach /in the water most the days They don't have any little store of sorts but there is one a short walk away they have some basic little things, ice cream etc. Overall we had an amazing trip with lovely memories made, we'll definitely plan to come back here again some day. We're doing pine acres next year but we do like both spots so may switch it up each year.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a little adventure on the Fourth of July weekend; she had a…read morewedding to play in Napa on Monday, so Sunday afternoon we looked around for a little place to have an adventure. After a little bit of poking around, it seemed Lakeport would be perfect (thanks to Christine G's review); neither of us had really been here before, and the Forbestown Inn was reasonably priced for a B&B on a holiday weekend ($120, about half what some of the Napa B&B's were charging!). We called up the Inn from the Bay Area and Pat let us know there was a room available; she asked of our arrival time so she could make sure the room was made up and cool by the time we were to arrive. When we showed up to this adorable site (after a nearly four hour drive) she greeted us and gave us some pointer on dinner, the WiFi password, and keys. We stayed in the Anna room. The house and rooms were classically appointed in the VIctorian style that seems to pervade most B&Bs, with frill and antique, though not overdone. The bed was a queen-size (which felt a touch on the small size) but the rooms were reasonably large and the bathrooms were pretty spacious (though down two steps, interestingly enough!). The overall setup was just gorgeous with a backyard to lounge in and very easy access to all of Lakeport's main attractions (we watched the "boat races" at the Speedway, NOTE: NOT ON WATER - see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivLX2Hu9iqU). Breakfast was an omelette (in truth, more like a frittata) with portabello mushrooms and red peppers, with a good strong coffee. My girl and I were trying to cut down on carbs, so we asked for no bread, but the other couple at the breakfast table raved about the French toast. After the other couple left, we actually had the whole run of the place to ourselves and lounged by the pool.
