There were two well behaved standard poodles behind the scenes and it was such a pleasure to spend time here. The prices were extremely reasonable. Several other Savannah-area nurseries directed me to call Savannah Secret Gardens. I'm so glad I did! Manager Cynthia was incredibly thoughtful and helpful. She gave me suggestions and explained how the different plants would do throughout the year. She offered to pull items and a glazed pot and send me photos throughout the design process before even taking payment. Once she was done with the beautiful arrangement she called and we finalized payment and delivery info. The container garden was delivered to the home of our friend today and it's just perfect. I wanted to get string of hearts but they unfortunately did not have any in stock. The staffed showed me string of pearls and string of dolphins that were similar. I asked which one I should go with, as there were many to choose from and the staff member selected 5 of the healthiest looking ones and we both picked the same one! I felt like they really wanted me to love what I went home with and I was very happy about it. I was even given a plant care card that I haven't come across in many plant stores that I have visited. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. Recommendation to other customers, DO NOT start the work until you have the…read moreestimate in writing. Very poor business practice in this company. I called Bloomhouse Landscape and Irrigation to obtain an estimate to replace 13 sprinkler heads. I was informed that the cost should not exceed $700, if the cost when above that, I would be informed before moving forward. I walked the ground with the two-man team to explain what I needed. The team lead recommended an additional sprinkler head in the back yard. I asked for the cost, and he stated that it should not exceed $100, so I agreed, thinking that the total cost would be around $800. Upon the finish, I walked the ground to check the sprinkler heads. I'm satisfied with the work and provided the lead person with $40 cash, a $20 bonus for each person. Later, I was informed that the bill was $1,881.83, over a $1,000 increase over the estimate. I paid with a check and three (3) days later I still don't have a receipt. I've called the office 3-4 times trying to obtain why the large increase in cost and for a receipt. Still no reply. I won't use this company for any work moving forward. Recommendation to other customers of this company, DO NOT start the work until you have the estimate in writing.
