I went to the Sandown races this year on a gloriously hot day in Esher. As I'm an antipodean, and the Melbourne Cup Carnival is usually in one of our hotter months in Australia, I felt right at home in a lovely breezy dress and hat. The same old things happened there of course, nothing much changed from my experiences at my home race course. Yet the Sandown race course was a great day out with some surprisingly fine weather and a spectacular view! read more
