I grew up 100 miles north of Spokane in Pend Oreille county so I spent a lot of time in Spokane as…read morea youth. Spokane was the nearest "big city" so it was where to go for drive-in movies, record stores (remember those?), fast food restaurants, concerts and of course, cruising Riverside Drive (remember cruising?) and grabbing a burger at Dick's Hamburgers. Now as an adult when I visit I still love Spokane, but for mostly different reasons. Some nostalgic and some because Spokane is still a cool city. I visit once every couple of years. My octogenarian parents still live in Spokane as does one brother and one sister. Spokane boasts a lot of history. There is a lot of old architecture and brick. Lots and lots of brick! Riverside Park downtown is a beautiful Spokane destination as is Manito Park and Botanical Gardens. Beautiful and fun Coeur 'd Alene, Idaho is just a short drive away. If four full seasons is your thing, Spokane has them. Hot dry summers, cold, leaf-turning colors autumns, cold and snowy winters, rainy springs. I've said a lot of nice things about Spokane, so why not five stars? Hey, if I thought that Spokane was a 5-star city I'd still live there, right? By the way, Dick's Hamburgers is still slinging burgers after all these years. For some reason they tasted a lot better as a 17 year-old than do as a 52 year old!

Telling me to call someone else because you're too lazy to drive by and ensure the builder posted permits is shameful. Talking down to me and saying, "got it?" doesn't earn any respect in your community. Yes, Ron, I "got it" - you can do as little as possible, may be as rude as you like and Brown's administration will allow it. Disgusting.

The area was very comfortable and well-designed, and the fire pits were absolutely gorgeous. I'd love to come back on a chillier evening. The drinks were creative, although most were a bit sweet for our tastes. For that reason, I was thankful to see that there was a respectable wine and beer list. I enjoyed a red blend from Barristers that was the perfect counter to the other sweet drinks that weren't holding my interest. My husband absolutely loved the spicy Terrace Sunset. I think he had two! I didn't try any of the (non-dessert) food, but I was pleased to see that there were vegan and vegetarian options. I did try the dessert - the "Rollo" chocolate/caramel cakes - and it was amazing. It was definitely shareable - I could only handle a few bites, but they were good bites indeed! All in all, it was a great place, and I'd consider bringing out of town guests here for the great, classy vibe.

The food is sub-par for this kind of experience!! Just give us $100 credit to order appetizers. $100 credit toward drinks isn't much cuz the drinks here are expensive. Overall, it was fun...but too expensive to do a 2nd time and the food wasn't good enough to use this idea a 2nd time for a client event as I did this night. The staff did a good job. Now that other restaurants, with a reputation for good food are doing the same...I would try them instead. Fun idea....too expensive. If the food were better....maybe.

This was probably the best Elite event I have been to yet. I'm glad I'm in a smaller town because…read morethe events get to be more intimate and you get to know the fellow yelpers, compared to events I went to in San Diego where there were hundreds of people. The Melting Pot was superb, and an awesome way to brighten up a boring Tuesday. We came a little late because of work, but we were greeted to a nice array of fruits and chips and other dipping elements, which surrounded a delicious cheesy fondue with artichokes. Next was a delicious salad that had these crunchy, sweet morsels on top that balanced the acidity of the dressing. Finally, we were treated to a dessert: Chocolate cake on top of Merlot-infused chocolate fondue, complete with all the different dessert dippers that finished the night off strong. All dishes were paired with a wine, which I had to say, were paired beautifully. We were even treated to a special wine, courtesy of the hosts, which was just superb. The service overall was on point. Attention to detail was evident and we were treated like royalty. I have yet to come to The Melting Pot for a personal dining experience, but I will definitely come back. This is a great location for a date night and with a staff like this, I expect it to be great. Awesome night Yelp Elite!

This was not the typical show up, have a bite, try a sip, and go home with some swag. The Spokane Melting Pot went all out and treated us to a four course tasting of their fare, and it was great. We got to try out their signature cocktails, and my favorite was the Melting Pot Mule. The ginger flavor was strong and delicious. We also had wines paired with our different dishes. I think they did a fine job pairing the wines with the tastings. The owner was very friendly and gave us a tour of the restaurant. The manager was knowledgeable and presented the courses well. I loved the more formal vibe of this event. It was different and neat having a sit down event to go to where I was treated to some of the great flavors that the host had to offer. This was such a fun night, the Melting Pot was a great host, and I look forward to visiting again soon! @yelpspokane #yelpspokanelife #spokanemp

Here's what my mom and I tried: ---LEMON POPPY SCONE: I didn't taste as strong of a lemon as I would have preferred. ---WILD BLUEBERRY SCONE: This tasted exactly as you'd expect it too. ---WHITE CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY SCONE: Not overly sweet, better than I expected it to taste! ---LONDON FOG SCONE: This was my favorite! Tastes exactly like the traditional earl grey that a london fog should have! ---PARADISE PEACH TEA: Smelled amazingly like peach and enjoyed this as well! ---JASMINE & FLOWERS TEA: Enjoyed this jasmine tea! "THE WHITE STUFF": They have a cream that complemented the scones perfectly. The scones are good on their own of course, but was fun to add it on for a few bites (can get addicting for sure haha). It's hard to describe the taste of the cream-light in texture and slightly sweet. Definitely worth trying! Loved how we got gratitude journals as part of this event! Definitely a great way to spread positiviTEA and reflect upon what you're grateful for.
