Cumberland Park is one of my favorite state parks to visit. We have visited twice and loved it both…read moretimes. The first visit we stayed during covid in December so it was just our group of 4 and one other couple staying in the resort. It was nice because it felt so private. We stayed in the resort rooms and we were surprised with how nice they are. Everything was clean. It was a bit small but we made it work. The second visit we stayed in their cabins and preferred it more. we got 2 bedrooms and each one had 2 beds so all of us slept comfortably. I loved that the cabin comes with a full kitchen and table so we spent our night playing board games. The park itself has so much to do. There are tons of hiking trails, horseback riding and even boat tours that take you up close to the waterfall. You have to go to the Moon bow at least once in your lifetime. The trail was a bit slick, but really just strolled to hit the different overlooks for different angles of the surging waters. Snagged a sundae from the snack shop and some gifts from the shop. They have some animals and small exhibits in the Visitor's Center as well. Free to stop, loved seeing the falls! Apparently the only place to see a Moonbow near the full moon in the Western Hemisphere, so that's pretty special!
