This year they started a teacher-parent messaging system using an app, so I get to hear from the teachers how each day was about 15 minutes after I pick her up! They send pictures with it too. PPED is very accommodating; you can choose to bring your kids any combination of weekdays, not just a set MWF or TR schedule. They offer full-day childcare, and are always happy to keep my son all day on days when we have other commitments and need childcare. PPED offers preschool for 2-year-olds and they even help with potty training! Also, my son has a healthy snack and a full hot lunch before pickup, so he can come home and get his nap in on time. Aside from all the perks mentioned above, the staff here really love and care about the kids. Everyone always has a smile on their face, and they truly seem excited to see my son every morning. Kids can pick up on this pretty fast, and it doesn't take more than a second for him to have a big smile on his face and run right to one of his teachers. Leaving such a young child with someone else can certainly be stressful, but I feel great knowing that my child is being cared for by people who have earned my trust and really care about his well being. I highly recommend them if you want your little one to excel and surpass the other kids once they get into kindergarten. That's not just me either. Mrs. Kelsy, Mrs. Rhabi, and my daughter's classroom teachers made me feel VERY welcomed, and it immediately felt like a family. My daughter learns a lot, and has fun while doing it (which is exactly the balance I wanted for her). They also send you pictures of your child so you can get updates - which provides some peace of mind, and it's so nice to see the great activities and lessons your child is learning. Our 2 children (5 and 2) are now thriving there, in spite of COVID. We all adore the Center Director, Ms. Rhabi, who is everything you hope for in a Director: warm, caring, communicative, available for questions and concerns, etc. Our son claims she is his best friend. The teachers in both classrooms are wonderful and have done a great job keeping us informed about what the kids are up to on a daily basis, even without the chance for any face to face interactions given COVID protocols. We have been especially impressed that our 5 yo has picked up math concepts (graphing objects) and our 2 yo can identify all the letters in her name and even name some classmates whose names start with some of the letters she knows. Beyond the curriculum, it is clear that the school models and expects the kids to demonstrate kindness and empathy towards one another. We wish the kids were able to spend a little bit more time outside in the winter (on days w/ reasonable weather) and that it were easier to get to know the community during the pandemic. Still better than anything my mom cooked. The blocks and train sets....omg. The kids were nice too. I remember "strawberry girl". She didn't say much if anything, but she was nice and often wore a smock with a strawberry on the front. I'm so glad my mom took me here so she could have some "mommy time".' It opened my eyes to a new world and much better food. I'll never forget it.
