What a joke.
I paid the made up fees they claimed I owed for my HOA until I have time to file a lawsuit against them, as they filed a lien without a judgement against my fully paid off home, and then they failed to remove my lien - to date, despite acknowledging that they received payment.
That's slander of title. Be aware that if a law firm like this files a lien without accuracy in the amount claimed own, it's illegal and you can sue.
They also claimed I owed money I don't.
They charged me essentially over 140% interest for menial sums of money alleged to be owed to the HOA, when the bylaws of my HOA state that the interest is supposed to be 12% annually.
One of the rude chicks who works there - her name is Sofia - literally told me that she "couldn't think that quickly" - and hung up on me when I asked her questions she was incapable of answering.
Two of this law firm's attorneys - Gary Stern and Leon Greenblatt III; perpetuated a multi million dollar tax fraud scheme as well that led to litigation against them.
"Class action racketeering suit vs Chuhak & Tecson over fuel tax credit scheme headed to federal court"
"Defendants Gary J. Stern, Chuhak and Tecson PC, David Shiner and Jeanne Kerkstra, represented by Gray Robinson, want the amended complaint, including claims of fraud and conspiracy, dismissed. Their motion was filed Dec. 21.From what I have seen lots of lawsuits against them. "
CHICAGO -- An investment group is suing Chicago law firm Chuhak & Tecson, citing alleged negligence.
Capital Realty Fund I LLC and Richard P. Turasky Jr. filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against Chuhak, and defendants Mitchell D. Weinstein and K. Shaylan Baldwin, alleging they were negligent in providing legal services and representation to the plaintiffs.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs engaged the services of the defendants concerning estate and business planning matters, but have suffered a loss of investment, profits and unnecessary professional fees because defendants were allegedly negligent. The plaintiffs allege the defendants breached their duty of care by, according to the suit, "failing to advise CRF-I and/or its affiliates that transferring its sole membership interest in the CRF-I affiliates to Prospect USA pursuant to the Prospect Canada Transaction would violate the Prohibited Transfer Provisions of the Loan Document" and by failing "to advise Turasky that turning over management of the CRF-I Affiliates' Restricted Accounts to Prospect Canada could subject him to personal liability under the loan documents."
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and more than $50,000, disgorgement of fees, and further relief. They are represented by Samuel J.H. Weyers of Kelleher & Buckley LLC in North Barrington.
In my opinion, it's terrifying that this law firm has the types of lawyers as above that commit these types of acts.
Shocking and terrifying.
I wonder how many other lawsuits have been filed against them? read more
