The front desk staff is always really nice, and the trainers seem awesome overall. I can definitely recommend mine, Will. He's knowledgeable, astute, goal-focused, and encouraging. It also feels like a genuinely respectful space. I haven't seen anyone leering or acting like a jerk - quite the opposite. And people are good about reracking weights and wiping down equipment. Parking can be a little bit of a situation at times, and people sometimes seem to wait around for spots for some reason, but there's actually plenty of parking diagonally across the street in the garage. Street parking is also often free or just a couple of bucks, so it's very manageable once you know the options. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot. Great vibe, great trainers, and solid equipment. There's even a hot tub in the locker room. It's not a polished, spa-looking place, but honestly that's part of the charm. I'd much rather deadlift somewhere with personality than in a lifeless beige box.

Typically I'm here to swim laps and take water aerobics, so can't comment on the gym classes or equipment. Itzel teaches water aerobics M-W_F at 9am and her classes are packed largely due to her energy and the workout everyone gets. It's hard to keep a class fresh when it's three times a week, but Itzel manages to keep everyone engaged with excellent, varied music, exercises, and her smile and energy. For lap swimming, this is my favorite pool because it's much longer than the other LA Fitness locations At 25 meters vs 25 yards, which really makes a difference. There are 3 lanes, which swimmers split, and rarely do you have to wait for a lane unless you want to swim at 10am on M-W-F right after water aerobics when many people stay in the pool to continue their workouts. The showers, sauna and locker rooms are relatively clean. I say relatively, because it depends on the volume and the cleanliness of those using these spaces. I will say the woman who cleans the ladies locker room works her bitt off and is always sanitizing and wiping things clean.

They asked us both to have a seat then, after some time, they called the other person back before me (despite me being there 10 mins prior). After almost giving up, I got a phone call asking me when I'd like to come in for a tour (the employee didn't seem to know I was already there waiting). After all that, I got a quick workout in but the space was overcrowded and dirty, some of the weight machines were covered in rust and the locker room was unkept. I didn't return for days 2 or 3 of the trial pass, I'll probably just try something local instead of a big box gym like this.

Athletes were happy to chat and introduced themselves and everyone was so strong! There were people powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, and a couple of strongman athletes. The neighborhood and streets nearby had plenty of parking spots, and I grabbed a spot right in front of the gym entrance. Head Coach Jabo was very attentive with his athletes, and was giving cues and advice about programming, adjusting the reps, sets, and weights when necessary, and providing moral support and encouragement. He gave me several cues that completely changed the feeling of each of the lifts for me, and communicated these cues in a way that helped me understand but not overthink. A couple of my top sets of the clean and jerk felt more smooth than ever thanks to his coaching. You can tell this gym has a close knit community of athletes and coaches who trust each other and perform exceptionally. Highly recommend for anyone, and especially Olympic weightlifters!

You can sit and wait for a spot, but otherwise you have to pay for parking on the street which adds to the monthly membership costs quickly. Years ago they had a second lot, but that has since closed and nothing else added. 2. Equipment - There is a fair amount of equipment which is nice, but a lot of it is old and outdated. Only one new piece of equipment has been added recently and it's some weird cycling arm machine I've never seen anyone use. 3. Hours - Open hours have been cut back over the years. This includes constant equipment slamming, taking up machines they are not even using, and excessive grunting. I understand that some noise is normal, but when it happens every set of every exercise, to the point where I can hear it through my headphones, it becomes a real issue. When I bring this to the front desk, they usually just shrug and say they will talk to him, but nothing ever changes. If you are considering joining and plan to work out on weekday evenings, I would look elsewhere. Some people never grow out of high school behavior, and it really shows at this gym.

I recommend using their referral system to get 20% your visit, especially for first timers. Unlimited tea was a huge perk. All the accessories you would need are provided: shower/spa shoes, towels (multiple types), their own line of yummy shampoo, conditioner and lotion. They even have a drying machine to cycle out the water in your swim suit. Love that there are multiple sections (hot soaking pool, warm still water, cold plunge, sauna, steam room infused with eucalyptus) to go through and that there's a guide for how to rotate through the spaces on the wall. The steam room was my favorite. Also love the outdoor balcony section with lots of chairs to soak in sunshine or lounge with a book. In my experience, service is super friendly esp with the mini locker room rundown. Water pressure and temperature is very finnicky in the shower stalls, but they were very spacious. However the women's bathroom portion can start to feel very small during certain waves of people coming in and out.

Think 24 Hour Fitness, but make it wellness. Hot tub, steam, sauna... clean, simple, and the staff are genuinely great. No complaints there. But the experience itself? It's just... basic. Cascada, on the other hand, is a whole different level. The comparison honestly feels like Spirit vs Delta, Holiday Inn vs The Ritz, Nissan vs Lexus. Once you've experienced that level of intention, design, and atmosphere, it's hard to go back. Knot Springs isn't bad, it's just not that. If you're looking for a straightforward soak, it'll do the job. But if you're chasing an elevated, immersive wellness experience... you might leave wanting more.

After class, he had a complimentary make-your-own cold brew station set up with the absolute BEST lineup (nugget ice, sugar free creamers and vanilla syrup). 100/10!! The instructor, Janelle was an absolute boss! I travel for work, and hit Barry's locations across the US. To be clear, every Barry's instructor I've ever had is exceptional, however Janelle was a standout. She mentally prepared the class for what was coming (ex how many sprints, how many inclines, how long, and counted it down for the entire class). I appreciated that so that I could get through the hardest times and understand how to pace. This was my favorite Barry's experience to date. Thank you!
