Best mani/pedi I've ever had! Lasted over 2 weeks without a chip, and this wasn't gel!

I needed place that caters to women. It seemed like a salon for men. But I appreciate their response…read moreto me.

A few things: You said I booked a $25 beard trim. What I actually booked was a $32 (obviously,…read morebefore the reversal). I can show you the receipt. You said I was 11 minutes late. 11 minutes. Most dentists, doctors' offices, and social services offices provide a grace period of 15 minutes. That's a reasonable accommodation for traffic conditions. Even still, being 11 minutes late has nothing to do with me not having an empty chair when I got there. I could understand if it was 20 minutes. I arrived early to my 1st and 2nd appointments; and, the 1st appointment was good , which is why I booked the 2nd. I still waited 30-40 minutes before the second appointment began. On my 3rd appointment, I waited 10 minutes until the receptionist was off the phone just to be checked in and told that another barber would be completing my service. I said OK and was told he was finishing up. I waited another 10 minutes (while I read the reviews of the lounge) before I walked out. If we are talking about punctuality, I'll give you the 11 minutes, and you still owe me some time. I guess all those other people in the reviews complaining about your double-booking were 11 minutes late as well. You already stated in your own words, "To feel slighted is absolutely understandable and I will personally own that." There is nothing more to say after that. To accuse me of being condescending when all I am doing is telling my side tells me two things. #1, you don't know what condescending means. And #2, you don't know what accountability means. Lastly, I have never seen or spoken with a Lozell S. I spoke with a woman that day. I did not get her name. I was never asked, nor was I ever offered an opportunity to speak with the owner. If I had, I would have taken that opportunity. I am a reasonable person. I asked her if I could receive 50% back. She said no refunds. I said OK. She never mentioned a refund at all. I took it like a life lesson, and I left peacefully. I did not know I had been given a refund until after I left my initial review. Even then, I only asked for 50% back. If anyone says anything different, it is a lie. I did receive the deposit back, and it is appreciated. To anyone reading this: Read my comment carefully. Then read the response from the owner. Then ask yourself if you really want to take the chance of having to deal with this. A professional owner would have stopped at "To feel slighted is absolutely understandable, and I will personally own that." Instead, this owner would rather call the customer a liar in a Yelp review. Read the other reviews and ask yourself if you think I'm lying. This has been wild.

I am pregnant and have chronic migraine, so my mom wanted to do something nice for me and purchased…read morea massage for me as a gift. We looked at a bunch of local spots and were drawn towards Heavenly Healing Hands because the reviews for prenatal massage were so promising. I also prefer to support local businesses over chains like Massage Envy or something like that. My mom paid for the massage and was instructed to have me text Donna to schedule my appointment, so I did. And this is when it started to get weird. I have the texts saved from this, I'm not trying to sabotage anyone's business, but I wish I would've known this before selecting this place and my mom lost her money. 1) A day before the appointment, I got a text that she had a family situation come up and had to reschedule. So, we did. 2) Then, the week we rescheduled for, I got strep throat (I work at a school, it was going around). I immediately went on antibiotics and texted Donna to reschedule for the following week. However, she asked me to wait at least 3 weeks to schedule because she claimed that antibiotics "don't always work" (?). So, whatever, I rescheduled a second time. 3) Then, when that appointment was approaching, she texted me to reschedule again because she "stepped on a nail and injured her foot" (she gave a very detailed description of how and why it hurt). I rescheduled... again. 4) Then, when the next appointment was approaching (this is now months after my initial appointment was supposed to be), she texted that she injured her hand and that we'd need to reschedule but that I'd "get priority." At this point, I just kindly asked that we get a refund and cancel my appointment. She didn't respond. I proceeded to text over the next few weeks every few days asking if she received my message and when we would get a refund. Unfortunately, she continued to not respond. I'm now thinking this is a scam, and not a real business... I'm super disappointed and feel awful that my mom paid for nothing. Am I the only one this happened to? None of the other reviews seem to mention an issue like this.

I found Donna very accommodating and felt I got a great massage overall…read more She really listens and tailors the massage to meet your needs. And it is quite a beautifully put/together space, with special lighting and music.
