Finally I called West Michigan Dermatology and set up an appointment. Although they are booked out quite far (we called in November and she got an appointment in March) I must say the wait was so worth it. She saw Dr. Strikwerda for her first appointment. She was completely nice and knowledgeable about my daughters condition and gave us a few options on how to take this thing on head on. She informed us some options work better than others but each person responds differently. She gave my daughter a treatment in the office and switched her medication. After a year of watching my daughter suffer and be in pain from this condition, just one day after seeing Dr. Strikwerda, she had some relief. The inflammation decreased and for the first time she wasn't in pain. While we know this is just the first step in a long road ahead I am so appreciative of just that one visit. After a year of her suffering just to see her almost back to herself was wonderful. Thank you West Michigan Dermatology and Dr. Strikwerda. I'd definitely recommend you to anyone that asks.

The dermatologist and the nurse that worked with her knew what they were doing and I thought they were professional. I went to Holland dermatology for removing a callous behind my ear about ten years ago and I thought it went well because the callous was removed permanently. Overall great company and nice staff. Just wish there was something out there that can remove acne scars permanently. If you do have acne scars I would hold on and hope for better technology in the future that will completely remove your acne scars.

I wouldn't go back. Never could stand doctors that talk down to me. I respect them and the work…read morethey do but they are not God. It's unfortunate that there are so few good doctors in this area. I was given instructions to do what I had been doing for 3 weeks with no results. I'm still dealing with the same strange skin issue 7 months later. :(
