We reached out to many different landscapers and none of them were willing to take it on. Alex, on the other hand, gave us a quote on the spot and his team was at our house within a week with trucks filled with dirt and top soil to fill in the low spots. We haven't had any issues with pooling since. Since then, ADP Land Design has helped us remove a 50' decaying tree, removed an old tree stump, planted several new trees, built a fence around our 1 acre backyard, and tidied up the landscape on our front lawn. The team is incredibly fast, works diligently, and can usually take care of things within the week. We highly recommend them and will be looking to them for all our landscaping needs!

Our outdoor projects were just completed by JT and his crew and we are very happy with the job that…read morethey have done. The projects included replacement and extension of existing concrete patio with pavers, leveling of the backyard, fixing the stairs to the patio, fixing the stairs to the front entrance, trimming of a tree and replacement of front path to sidewalk as well as to driveway. It was an extensive project and we didn't know quite to expect. I had posted in Somerville Community Facebook page for recommendations and JT came highly recommended. We contacted a couple of the suggestions and he was the most prompt and professional. He came to assess the situation and provided really good suggestions (different than we had initially thought). It made sense to do what he said and we appreciated the advice. He was not pushy, however, just spoke with conviction and promised we would be happy with the results. He provided an estimate with details and provided it quickly. When the work actually started, he brought his crew and they were great. They were hard working, detail oriented and took pride in their work. There was a lot going on at once but they stuck to the schedule (came early and stayed late). We made adjustments along the way and they were happy to oblige. We were very impressed by the scope of what they could do. The tree trimming was a last minute add because we didn't know they could do such a job. It's pretty clear that they have extensive experience by the ease in which they took on each project. The price was reasonable and it was completely worth it because they did the work in a short time (over the course of 3 weeks, 2 weeks of allowing materials to dry and 1 week of actual work). I am in a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" because of the quality of work, diligence and professionalism . I always look to see if the workers are happy and that is the sense I got with them. I would definitely recommend this company if you have outdoor projects. We thought we had some pretty odd requests and were pleasantly surprised at how they tackled them.

He provided me with a detailed and fair quote in advance of the job. As the project was adjusted as we went along, he reviewed the original quote and made me aware of any additional costs. There were never any surprises. He communicated when he would be arriving at the house each day so that I was always kept in the loop. An important distinction between Iovino's and other contractors I've dealt with is that he was regularly on the job overseeing his men. A few times I even found him 'rolling up his sleeves' and doing the work right alongside his guys. That you don't see very often! The job was done with precision and perfection!

I had a very disappointing experience with Romero Hardscape Landscape Design Expert…read more Francisco from Romero's came to my property multiple times before the project started. We went back and forth discussing different paver options, styles, layout ideas, and pricing. After several site visits, we agreed on a final scope and signed agreement. Once the work finally began and the trees/shrubs were already removed, Francisco stopped the project and told me I would now need to pay an additional $1,000 because the patio would require a step. He claimed this made it a "different project." As a homeowner, I relied on the contractor's expertise. I clearly explained what I wanted from the beginning, and Francisco had visited the site multiple times before agreeing to the price. If a step was required, that should have been identified during the estimating and planning process -- not after demolition had already started. When I pushed back, I was told he could simply "put the trees back and refund the money." While I did receive a refund, I was ultimately left with removed landscaping, dead trees sitting in my garden bed, and no patio project completed. The most frustrating part was that everything had already been discussed, measured, signed, and agreed upon beforehand. Overall, the experience felt very unprofessional and poorly planned.
