This doctor should have his license revoked by the AMA, but that's unlikely to happen. No matter how many dangerous mistakes this man makes, (he's only in his mid forties and already has several complaints with the state against him.) he seems to get away with it-- over and over again. He has a long history of making erroneous assumptions when examining his patients, and calling it "medical expertise", either out of laziness or ignorance (I really couldn't tell you which.) Talk to people in Alpine, Ft. Davis, Marfa about this man and it won't take long before you hear a horror story. He doesn't order tests for people who are in real trouble, and sends them home to have their condition worsen to a dangerous point. He takes out appendix unnecessarily. He doles out pain meds to addicts who need REAL treatment/help. He almost killed someone who came in with a horrible, unbearable headache and told her to take tylenol 3, and she nearly died. He diagnoses elderly people who have mild confusion in certain aspects of their lives with "severe dementia" getting them committed to institutions when they should be home with their spouses or families. He loses people's medical records on a regular basis, then actually tries to blame them, no matter how ridiculous the logic. These are just a small sample of infractions made by him. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN! I have lived in west Texas for 37 years, and never have I heard so many negative things about one doctor.
