Juan was very communicative and did exactly what said he would do. He's our mechanic now.

Just moved to NorCal and needed an oil change, so I decided to try Valvoline for the first time. I…read moredon't know much about cars, so I really appreciated how helpful and honest the team was. They checked everything over, explained what they recommended, and were upfront about what I did and didn't need. I ended up getting a few additional services done, and they even noticed that one of my brake lights was out (which I had no idea about) and replaced it for me. Also good pricing! I think for the convenience of no apt needed and quickness- the price is worth it. 10/10 experience! The guys are friendly, professional, and helpful, and the service was super quick. Definitely recommend!

Extremely disappointing and confusing experience at Valvoline Quick Oil Change on Mendocino and…read moreCollege Avenue in Santa Rosa. When I pulled in, the employees went through the entire process. They checked my tires, checked my lights, scanned my vehicle, asked about the air filter and cabin filter, and proceeded with everything as though they were going to complete the oil change. They even got my vehicle up on the oil-change lift. Then, after going through all of that, they suddenly determined that they didn't have the oil my vehicle required. I'm sorry, but how does that happen? If my vehicle was scanned when I first pulled in, shouldn't they have known what oil it required--and whether they actually had it--before putting me through the entire process? What made the experience even more disappointing was the complete lack of effort to make things right. There was no discount, no offer of anything, and no real apology. Basically, it felt like, "Sorry about your luck. You need to leave." The manager, Beautiful, was there, yet never came back to check on me, ask if I had a problem, apologize for the inconvenience, or ask if there was anything they could do to make the situation right. Nothing. I understand that inventory issues happen. What I don't understand is putting a customer through the entire process before discovering that you don't have the oil their vehicle requires. And when you make a mistake that wastes a customer's time, I would expect the manager to at least acknowledge it and make some effort to address the situation. Instead, I left confused, frustrated, and very disappointed. Valvoline wasted my time and then basically sent me on my way without offering anything to make up for it. Not the customer service I expected from Valvoline.
