I hate when a place goes from great to barely there. My favorite dish from here is the qabli paloa but it is decreasing in quality and taste and size each time. This was my last time ordering, unfortunately . This time there was barely any meat (All white and unflavored, and not even fully cooked), not as much reasons as usual, and those were not even cooked and the meat don't even get me started is the main part of the dish and it was dry and probably a third of what they've given us before How frustrating to feel like if you order takeout, they rip you off. I recently visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a letdown. I had to wait far too long for my food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold-especially the kebat, which should have been nhot. on top of that the tables weren't cleann, and the service was really lacking. Overall, I would't recommend it unless they improve significantly. read more

I really liked this market . They added lot of cute stuff there , I bought a lot today. Dishes , some teas , jams herbs . Nothing was expired . I'll come back again. Store was clean . Everything looked neat . Customer service was excellent !! everyone were friendly and helpful. I ordered chicken kebab - it was good and tasty . They said 20 min wait , took longer than that ; but it's ok I saw how busy they were .. not big deal .. I just shopped around . Come on people , let's be nice and understanding. This is a market and off to the side is a restaurant. Staff was polite and patient answering all our questions. They have a raised area with carpet to sit on the floor and tables with booths. You can order at the cashier or sit and someone will take your order. We ordered chicken kabob (very tender, our favorite) chapli kabob (lacked flavor), shami kabob (well seasoned but dry) and bolani. They make fresh ice cream right in front of you, so don't forget to treat yourself. When you visit this place just be ready to wait, our food took over 45 minutes to be prepared. read more

I'm honestly shocked by how bad the food was. The meat was hard as a rock, dry, and impossible to chew. Completely unacceptable.

This place is not setup nor does it run like a store front or a restaurant in the west. There is no organization and observations of sanitary rules and or compliance to them. Very u structured, and just like many commented not the best or quality products. One order and we had to come back because of errors in the packed food we received. The only thing there that was good was the sheer yakh or ice cream and that is because there is one guy who makes them by hand and distributes them to customers. first I would like to state that with all the experiences I've had in Sana Market have been exceptional great. I think people don't logically think that mistakes can happen and its not the end of the world. The food is amazingly tasty, good variety of products, and outstanding afghan bread. I've always been satisfied with the outcomes. I even had Sana Market cater to one of my events and had a great outcome. Delicious food and all my guests were very happy with it as well. Ive noticed some of reviews here talking about time. Although I personally have never dealt with any delays of time mistakes can happen and if the food was good then that's what mainly matters. I think we should stop trying to tear down a small business and instead help improve it if there's issues. But overall Sana Market has meet all my needs with amazing customer service. read more

The handmade sheeryakh was amazing! 10/10. Drove 1.5hrs for it and I'll do it again. We didn't have anything else so I can't comment on the food but the restaurant looked pretty and clean to me (unlike some of the other reviews I read). If i could give them below one star i would, this place is very close to my house and me and my family would always go and shop here but they have very poor costumer service, i purchased some jam and i go home and my mom ask me to read the expiration and after i look i see it was expired year ago and they were still on the shelfs. When i went back and i told the cashier he told me you can bring it back and take another one and he was sounded like its normal and its okay. Another time i was in a rush and i decided to try their restaurant and i ordered some food and the guy told me it would take 15 minutes, i waited for 20 minutes and another guy came out of the kitchen and ask what I'm waiting for and i told him i ordered food and he was like ok and didn't even bothered to go back and check on my food, another 10 minutes passed and he ask me again hey what were you waiting on? I told him its been 30 minutes and you told me 15 and he said okay we are busy your food should be out any minutes and again did not bothered to go back and check, i finally had enough of it and i told him can you go back and check on my food i have been waiting for 40 minutes now whats going on, He went inside and came back and told the other guy something and they both went inside the kitchen and after few minutes one of them came out of another back door just trying no to make an eye contact with me. The second guy came out and said your food is coming out in few minutes because we were busy and i told him why didn't you tell me in the beginning that it would take time so i could have gone and come back and not wait here for 50 minutes and they guy was so relaxed and he was telling me that its okay it happens. Hi, don't ever go at the store is really bad / rude nasty that they have a bad customer service the food that is really nasty. I wouldn't even call it good because I ordered a shami a Kabob and they told me it's not spicy and when they brought it, it's so spicy and nasty look ,they gave me a spicy kebab and the manager refused to give me the refund back at the beginning and he gave me a lot of attitude and I'm pretty sure they don't know that they don't even have that good quality with anything you order , and they gave me that nasty look just because I asked for a refund and they have this cashier doesn't even And they feel they blame you for not, speaking Afghani and they ignore you. Ordered Chicken Kebab here and the food was excellent! Everything is freshly prepared and cooked over a natural charcoal grill. I had the Kebab with basmati rice. The rice had the perfect aroma of Saffron and was cooked with the barberries which can be very hard to find around here. The chicken was juicy and not dry like some other places with the perfect charred edges around the meat. The skewer included bell peppers and tomatoes that were also grilled. The meal was served with fresh herbs and cut jalapeno, cucumber, and tomato. Along with a piece of freshly baked Afghan bread. If you're looking for a good quality meal that fills you up, you definitely want to check this place out. The kebab place is inside of a market near the 99 cents store in Carmichael.
