I saw the word "Plums" on the sign and felt that I'd like to treat myself, so at the next corner, I turned around. I have significant dietary considerations, and plums fit right into my plan, for a few reasons. So I stopped and bought a bag of plums... $6. I tried to tip a buck (I only had $7 cash on me so "here... for the tip jar"). Nope! "Thank you, but put it in your tank". The two young ladies that helped me were delightful, and told me about their property and how it's been in the family since it was built in 1911. I love history! Such a beautiful property. But the plums!!! Oh man... so amazing, sweet and perfectly ripe. I was so lucky to just happen-by this gem on the last day of their plum-sales season. I can't wait to see what their next harvest is. I was inspired and created this for them (for you!) and expect to "happen-by" again fairly soon. THANK YOU for my most delicious and most healthy snack today!

There's all kinds of fruits and veg here, some you probably wouldn't find in a regular grocery store. Pumellos, guava, tiny vine-grown grapes, harvest apples, baby yams, and more abound. You can also buy fresh honey, bee pollen, honeycomb, and what appears to be roti-like breads. The produce is not my issue...My issue is with one of the employees who turned out to be THE OWNER'S SON! He is CONDESCENDING, SNARKY and will have a rude awakening once he no longer works for his daddy and has to learn ACTUAL customer service skills. After a little investigating I found out he speaks to other customers AND his fellow co-workers the same way he spoke to me...Son or No Son... HE NEEDS TO BE FIRED! read more

Upon arrival I noticed the place was a cluttered mess. Stuff everywhere and very unorganized. Even a black trash bag sitting by the register while the clerk was on her phone. I really don't think you can have more than 5 customers in there. Very few things have price labels so you have to ask the lady at the register for prices. We got a few items including pan dulce, bolillo, peppers, seasonings and a gallina totaling to almost $70. I did notice when she was ringing us up that there were many items that would have been a whole dollar more if I would have paid with a card. I have never seen that before. I have seen a percentage off a total for debit/credit use but never an upcharge for every individual amount for using a card. Thankfully I had cash so it was almost $10 less than if I would have paid with card. The biggest let down was that upon arriving home and seeing our bolillos in the light, we noticed they were moldy. Lord knows how long they were sitting at that store. At this point we would rather go to a Mexican Mercado than back to this place.
