This is the first time I have been to this Catholic church. It was easy to find, central location in Rancho Bernardo. The church itself was nice and had a unique circular design in which makes it convenient to see what is going on. The stained glass was really pretty!

Modern Church. Circular in design. Not the traditional lay out of the church. The circular design offers a better view of the mass.

I love this church. The ministry is clear and easy to follow. A sense of pease and grace is felt when visited.

They say they live by the Bible. However, do NOT ever question it or quote the scriptures that contradict what they teach. I made that mistake and I was literally escorted out of the service by Pastor Nick and Pastor Gabe and told that I am no longer welcome to attend. Never in my life have I ever been kicked out of a church for asking questions. I mean isn't that the job of the pastors, to teach!? It was utterly ridiculous and embarrassing. What is even more shocking is the lead pastor taught on forgiveness about 2 weeks prior but apparently that doesn't apply to everyone. I do NOT recommend this church. Find a different place to worship God.

From the moment we walked up, we were warmly greeted, given a quick tour, and introduced to other members. Within the first 30 minutes of that first service, my wife and I looked at each other and said, "This is going to be our home church." I've never once felt judged here--neither for how I look nor for my past. Pastor Jerry and Pastor Tami have impacted our family's life in ways that are hard to put into words. The church also uses the Church Center app, which makes it easy to sign up for small groups and stay connected with upcoming events. Our family highly recommends this church. It has truly become home for us.

Liz Viker and the choir, organis and pianist were top notch, and it was FREE!!! They had us singing Christmas Hymns and the orchestra and choir presented a variety of Christmas music including GLORIA. Liz is multi talented and directs to perfection. The Sanctuary that will hol almost a 1,000 was 95% full. It was comfortable, for us to sit back and enjoy the music plus the Transitional Pastor Goeff Kohler, who used his humor and cirisima to wow the audience. The church hold Sunday Worship Services at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. Eve there are 3 services, Family Noon, Contemorary 4 pm, and Traditional with choir and orchestra at 8 pm. See you THERE, AT 17010 Pomerado Rd. Just north of RB Rd.

A number of people from the church, two in particular, chased him up and down the sidewalk, thrusting their phones in his face, rudely asking him what he was doing, and ordering him to stop recording them and the church property, and telling him to leave. They were joined by 6 or 7 other unknown people, evidently from this church, who ended up calling the Police on him. When the Police arrived, they informed the callers that the man had every right to peacefully record the church and its grounds, and that he was doing nothing illegal. After the Police left, one of the church people insulted the man by saying that he "walked like a girl." I was raised as a Presbyterian, at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Whittier, CA., and I never in my life saw Presbyterians acting like this toward a total stranger, who was doing nothing to deserve the treatment that he received. The church should be ashamed of itself. Instead of greeting the man and politely asking him if they could be of assistance, or answer any questions he may have had about their congregation, or even inviting him in to the service, they became actively hostile and aggressive, one woman, chasing him back and forth, demanding answers from him, forcing him to walk in the street, to avoid her placing herself in his way, endangering his safety, while warning him not to "touch" her, while she continued to pursue him, and make motions, and mouthing, to people arriving that he "was crazy." It shouldn't be hard to Google this incident to see for yourself how they behaved. And people wonder why I now no longer believe in God. If I can download the video, I will add it here.

Catholic Mass in San Diego, California…read more.. Many years ago, I attended a Catholic University in San Diego: The University of San Diego. For two years, I had great learning experiences and made many friends - one of whom with I still keep in touch. I told Joanie that I would be in town and that I would like to go to Mass with her. She invited me to her home parish: Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Situated on the corner of Stoney Creek Road and Carmel Mountain Road, Our Lady of Mount Carmel is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and has a wonderful view in a residential area! Inside, the church is stunning with modern decor, and highlighted with colorful stained glass and decorative tiles. The Baptismal Font and pool for full body immersion is impressive! Maintaining tradition, the choir led three songs in Latin, accompanied by organ music. Kneeling after singing "Holy, Holy, Holy" and "Lamb Of God", we also knelt after receiving Holy Communication. Parishioners who wish to receive Communion on the tongue, kneel on the wooden kneeler in front of the priest. The rest of the congregation received Communion in the hands while standing up. Joanie showed me the special stained glass windows for certain Saints such as Mother Teresa. She also pointed out the bricks on the walkway that were engraved with donors' names. Before this church was built, parishioners would meet in the church hall for mass. Yes ... The social Hall was built first. Later, in 2013, the church was built. It was a pleasant experience and I wouldn't hesitate to return to such a wonderful environment!

This church is so beautiful and a wonderful place of worship. The priests are very compassionate…read moreand understand life.
