Before coming out for a visit, I called and spoke with a Co-Pastor, Ruth Ann, and she was so gracious and attentive on the phone, answering all of my questions and listening to what I felt were my own unique needs. I was simply trying to find a warm and welcoming community of believers, so that my relatives could have a chance to experience the transformational power of God in their lives. I know....this is a "big ask," right? But the most amazing thing that could happen took place that day where instead of a sermon, we had the opportunity to hear directly from the church members about how God was indeed working in their lives. It was a very powerful experience for us, especially since this was our first time there. Before, during, and after the service, we felt welcomed and comfortable that we were in the right place. One of my unique requests was to find a church that has members who are both English and Spanish speakers, and I found it here! Indeed, we stayed after service and spoke with Ruth Ann in English, and spoke in Spanish with some church members. What comes across is that the Pastors and the members here are not in church to perform rituals, deliver sermons, nod in agreement with each other, and then go home. Instead, they really are there to serve God and each other with their lives and this comes across in all they do. I know this is based on one visit, but my relatives have continued going to The Well and they are being blessed as a result. For example, a friend who has asthma respectfully requested that incense for the Triduum be done in an appropriate, but "lighter" way, so she could attend. She loves the Triduum, and attending means a great deal to her. The pastor flatly refused. She was heartbroken and practically in tears at his insensitive treatment of her. She has been an active member of this parish practically her whole life. I could easily cite other examples of negative things happening at this parish. The interim pastor should be gone in a few months, but the damage is being done and may not be so easy to reverse. AMDG.

Within the first 30 minutes of that first service, my wife and I looked at each other and said, "This is going to be our home church." I've never once felt judged here--neither for how I look nor for my past. Pastor Jerry and Pastor Tami have impacted our family's life in ways that are hard to put into words. The church also uses the Church Center app, which makes it easy to sign up for small groups and stay connected with upcoming events. Our family highly recommends this church. Never in my life have I ever been kicked out of a church for asking questions. I mean isn't that the job of the pastors, to teach!? It was utterly ridiculous and embarrassing. What is even more shocking is the lead pastor taught on forgiveness about 2 weeks prior but apparently that doesn't apply to everyone. I do NOT recommend this church. Find a different place to worship God.
