Back Again, :) This is our 5th time renewing our BLS for Healthcare workers with San Diego Cardiac. So 2 years later. It was the day after July 4th, so Debbie and I had the class all to ourselves. Was good to see Taylor there again!  As usual I was texted and emailed all the appropriate information in regards to the renewal class. Always nice. The instructors are very knowledgeable, patient, and very encouraging especially with the new protocols every year. They have great resources for CPR, AED, and First Aid information and are always upgrading their equipment and mannequins. I will never leave this class. I have been CPR certified since high school and am now 53 years old. This is clearly one of the fastest and most clear cut courses you could ask for. I am an RDA and have to renew my CPR license every two years. Prior to finding this class I had to attend 4 hour trainings for something I already had knowledge on. Can't say enough, they accommodated me last minute. I called the cell phone of Tyler only because I needed before work this afternoon. Time it took: 2 hours, way less time then any other place I've been to. How much: about 55 to 65 dollars depending what you do Location: upstairs when you find the building, second door and the building is shared with the pilates class. Taylor is an amazing teacher, they are efficient with their information and gets to the point. This is probably the fastest and most clear cut bls class I have ever had. read more

Definitely recommend this place. I needed to obtain a new card before my old one expires and Tyler was very responsive and accommodating. I even called a day before attending class to schedule. You definitely get your money's worth at this place. As far as the class, Tyler is a very cool guy and straightforward about all the material. I took a group in for CPR training after work and Taylor and Tyler made it so fun to learn. I looked into several places for classes and lets face it they are not always available when needed. They were readily available when we needed them and they were able to make a private class for us. We all work together and after working a 9 hour shift they made it fun and easy to learn for us! These guys are great. This was my second time taking the class (became certified many years ago with a different company when I worked at UCSD). I registered for my CPR class yesterday afternoon and I was able to get certified about an hour ago! I appreciate the quick turn around. As a new nursing student, I have a lot of things on my to-do list and I was nervous about how much time I have heard the BLS Provider certification usually takes. This was not the case with Tyler and Taylor. They were friendly from the moment they texted to confirm the appointment earlier today to the end of the class. They were also knowledgeable. I appreciate that they got me through the process quickly! I plan on coming back to the when I need to be re-certified in the future. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I emailed the address listed for this business on the American Heart Association website on Tuesday, no response; called on Wednesday and left a message on the business phone, no response; emailed again on Thursday with a subject line of "no response via email or phone," and finally got a response that evening. When I did, none of the answers to my inquiries regarding the classes including price, time, ect. were given. I emailed again on Friday for the lacking information. Taylor asked me to call his cell phone on Saturday to discuss payment options but no other information was provided. I called and left a message with no answer Saturday at 11:00am. I didn't get another email until Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm telling me to come to a class that was earlier than the one I asked to sign up for. Again, no information provided about price, length of time, ect. When I informed him that I found my experience unpleasant and considered it unprofessional he threatened me with a lawsuit. I said that I knew many people in the medical field that I would not be recommending his business to and in turn he told me that he would sue me with his legal department that he made sure I knew he had. I guess this means that every business that gets poor review on Yelp or from a previous customer should take out a civil lawsuit based on their negligence. I asked him in my response to his outlandish threat to not contact me further. He continued to email me, which I then had to ask for a SECOND time to STOP HARASSING ME. He raved about his stellar reputation among the medical community, but I asked several people if they knew of this organization and they said they never even heard of it. How you ruin an absent reputation is beyond me. Use GetStarCPR. Great company with superb customer service. Save yourself from the headache, threats and harassment from this business. read more

This is an okay place to get CPR certified. It was about a 2-2 1/2 hour class. It was about an hour of videos and about 45 mins of actual CPR training. The instructor was knowledgeable on the subject, however, mostly relied on videos. It was a pretty boring class until we actually got hands on. Don't buy the book because you won't get a hard copy book, you will get an E-book so it's honestly a waste of $10. You won't get an actual card either, it will get emailed to you and you have to print it out on your own. read more
