All the explaining in the…read moreworld did not affect Farmer's resolution of this matter, which gives my the impression that Farmers Insurance corporate philosophy is a far cry from the neighborhood oriented, caring group of people. Apparently, I agreed to an abusively written contract, which absolves Farmers of any sympathy or humanity whatsoever. My 14 year old, disabled daughter has: Autism, Epilepsy, Hyperinsulinism, and recently underwent surgery in Philadelphia for thyroid cancer. When my condo association opened up the walls in every room of my home to retrofit plumbing for two and a half weeks, we were forced to stay in a hotel for her safety. As you can imagine, we can not take anymore risks when so many health conditions are environmental. I submitted a claim for $90/day for the hotel. Our claim was denied, with no tact whatsoever. I escalated my claim to management, but was shot down. Never once did Lisa Newell get on the phone to talk to me, I only spoke to her assistants, and to confused claim reps from Arizona. If you care about your family more than "the bottom line" please take your business elsewhere. Don't be a fool like me and dutifully pay your dues for years, only to find out that Farmers Insurance is not paying theirs. Thanks for reading.

I would recommend her to my family/parents or boss (who I like) without any hesitation, which should carry some weight, because they all know what a handful I can be. Long version: I have been with State Farm for nearly 20 years; however, I was terribly frustrated with my prior agent and his team. I was on the verge of leaving after calling every agent within a 15 mile radius, because I felt like, after the initial interaction or lack of response, I would just be hitting the restart button. I am glad that I bumped the range up one more time, because Caitilin's office was different from the first call. I would like to highlight that she has a refreshing approach, which cascades down her team. They provide answers and information that help me to feel like I am making an informed decision. If I do not know to ask a question, they volunteer alternatives and details. Previously, I had been instructed/told what to do, which does not jive with me; I am always looking for someone or something new to rebel against. Either that, or I would be heavily up sold, which just makes me lose trust and avoid the interaction(s), even if I know that it may yield something positive for me. In our first few weeks working together, Caitlin and her team have helped me close out an accident claim, set up a personal liability plan, update my auto coverage, and transfer my home owner's insurance. Half of that list are items that I had been trying to address for 6-24 months. I am glad that I was able to be reassigned and thankful for everything that they have done for me. As well, I am no longer dreading when renewals come around.
