As my usual hairdresser was exceptionally busy and I don't like looking like a axe murderer I was driving down Logan Road and saw the sigh, Samy the barber and drove underneath to the carpark. I walked up to the mini mall to find the barbers open, with a female hairdresser waiting. I went inside and she said, "you're after a haircut" and I replied "yes" of which I was going to ask if they sold Jazz CD's but refrained from the joke fairly quickly as I don't think she would've gotten it. Anyway, the room itself was very clean, the atmosphere very much a barbers with dark floors, white walls with unobtrusive posters. I feel that I may of been the first customer she had seen all day. So, I started to be concerned when she asked me "What size do you usually go for" which meant that she was going to shave my head army style, I reluctantly said 4 and she proceeded to buzz my current wavy hairstyle and sideburns to something that resembles a sawn sheep. I guess the lesson is that if you have your usual hairdresser and they're busy they are busy for a reason. I did get a haircut but the rest of the experience was not worth the $27 ($25 on their site) I paid to be totally honest. I didn't get hot towels or a scalp massage, but these days those things seem to be a non hair thing. read more
