The music they had on the background was awesome and it definitely made me feel at home. They are busy so it's recommended you make an appointment, but in doing so, ensure you get yourself there on time so you don't have to wait. The staff are usually two or three people tops so you can muck about. They did a wash and a cut for about $35 and they didn't push any product on me, which was great. Paul is indeed a sports fan and will talk to you at length about the Brisbane teams (Broncos, Lions, whatever) while he gives you your short back 'n' sides. Apparently he's even given haircuts for a number of the athletes who regularly play/train at the nearby 'Gabba stadium. He was super kind, and professional. I was charged $40 due to it being a Sunday. He said that because he was trying something different on me, if I didn't like it and wanted it a bit shorter, I could come back within 48 hours and get it cut again at no extra charge. I thought was a great policy, I didn't think I would need to use it but my sister wanted my hair shorter for the Summer so I went back the next day after work and saw another man called Gio. Gio did an awesome job, shaved my sides down and got it a lot shorter like my sister wanted, it looked awesome as well as the first haircut. Gio did 10/10 job on the second haircut, attention to detail was perfect. Even put some wax in my hair and a hot towel for my face. Definitely coming back here.

Comfortable hairdressing chairs to sit in, and for those of you having a wash, Ben's wash basin is super comfortable too, supporting your head well and keeping pressure off your neck, which can be uncomfortable. Ben is super friendly, and very knowledgeable in all things hair related. You can show him photos of what you'd like, or explain it to him, and he will read your hair "qualities" and tell you if he thinks it would look good on you. West End needs these old era unintentionally unhip joints to separate it from other trendy destination suburbs.
